The 30 Cheapest Sofitels Worldwide

Sofitel Warsaw Victoria

The Accor hotel chain is actually best known for its hotels in the lower-price segment, such as the Ibis hotels. Nevertheless, Accor has recently been expanding its 5-star portfolio in recent years, with brands such as Raffles and Fairmont. However, they have already been running the Sofitel hotels for a long time, which they took over in 1975. From their over 75 Sofitels, we have found the 30 cheapest.

However, we didn’t include the Sofitels in China as they would have inflated this list unnecessarily without really being interesting. Instead, we listed the 5 cheapest Sofitels of China separately. Also, we do not claim that these hotels consistently charge the listed price on every date. Furthermore, there may be another hotel that we missed, as it may have been more expensive on each of the dates checked. Last but not least, be aware that the cheapest price is usually found in the off-season. That may be fine for a hotel in Europe, but it can also mean having to endure terrible heat, e.g. in the Middle East.

Enough with the explanations. Here is the list:

Conclusion

Warsaw, Brussels, Strasbourg, Lyon, London, and Luxembourg are popular European destinations, so that’s definitely a nice surprise. The high number of “cheap” hotels in Australia and New Zealand is also somewhat unexpected. The Middle East offering cheap prices during the summer, on the other hand, is no surprise at all. Where Accor’s 5-star presence is still small – and this is clearly reflected in this list – is in North and Central America, South and Central Asia, and countries such as Korea and Japan.

Regarding the prices, many of these hotels are not only relatively cheap but actually really cheap, with double-digit prices being possible. The same can’t be said of many other luxury brands.
