In late March 2025, the Costa Fascinosa leaves the Dominican Republic and heads back to Europe. The 13-night transatlantic crossing can currently be booked for merely €599 per person. The price includes all meals, tips, and water and tea in the buffet restaurant.
The booking site shows a slightly higher price in the first booking step. From the second step onward, the correct price of €599 per person should be displayed.

While booking the cruise for a single passenger would double the price, it is possible to book a cabin for three passengers. That would even lower the price to €499 pp for an inside cabin or €599 pp for an outside cabin.
The Itinerary
The journey begins on March 23 in La Romana, Dominican Republic, with a late departure at 23:59. After a day at sea, the ship arrives in Philipsburg, Sint Maarten, on March 25 from 08:00 to 18:00, offering time to explore the island.
Several consecutive sea days follow as the ship crosses the Atlantic, providing time to relax and enjoy onboard activities. On April 1, the ship reaches Santa Cruz de Tenerife in Spain’s Canary Islands, with a stop from 08:00 to 17:00.
The next port of call is Cadiz, Spain, on April 3, with arrival at 10:00 and departure at 18:00, giving an opportunity to discover the city’s rich history. The journey concludes in Barcelona on April 5, with the ship arriving at 09:00. This itinerary combines a mix of Caribbean warmth, Atlantic sailing, and visits to key European ports.

The Ship
The Costa Fascinosa (Concordia class) was launched in 2012 and accommodates about 3,800 passengers and 1,100 crew members. It is 290 meters long and 32 meters wide, with a tonnage of 114,500, reaching a maximum speed of 23 knots. The ship is equipped with “Cold Ironing,” a shore power supply system that allows the engines to be turned off in ports to reduce emissions. The official onboard languages are Italian and English. The currency is the Euro.

The ship features 6 restaurants, with the buffet restaurant and main restaurant (with service) included in the price. You must pay for drinks at the 12 bars and speciality restaurants. However, the buffet restaurant has free water dispensers and also offers a type of “juice” and coffee/tea in the morning.
Additional paid amenities include a 4D cinema, shopping centre, casino, Grand Prix simulator, golf simulator, and a 6,000 square meter wellness area with a thalassotherapy pool, various treatment rooms, sauna, Turkish steam bath, and solarium.

For the little ones, there is a kids’ club with different age groups. There are both outdoor pools and an indoor pool with a retractable glass roof, which is very convenient in bad weather or colder regions. There are also whirlpools both indoors and outdoors.
Getting to La Romana
Flights are sadly not included in this deal (as usual), so you’ll have to book a flight to the Dominican Republic. While La Romana does have its own airport, most intercontinental flights arrive in Punta Cana. Here are some examples of what flights currently cost, including luggage:
- Madrid – Punta Cana: €347 with Iberojet
- Porto – Punta Cana: €377 with Air Europa
- Lisbon – Punta Cana: €384 with Air Europa
- Barcelona – Punta Cana: €421 with Air Europa
From Punta Cana, you can either take a taxi to La Romana (for roughly €150) or a bus. The bus is far less comfortable, but also far cheaper, costing roughly €5.
