With the Costa Toscana from Costa, you can embark on a cruise through the Mediterranean in January 2026. You can currently book an 11-night cruise in an inside cabin from just €649 per person. However, the oceanview cabins from €799 and balcony cabins from €899 are significantly more appealing (prices per person based on double occupancy). Solo travellers can join the cruise in an inside cabin from €974.
The journey takes you from Civitavecchia (Rome) and includes stops in Italy, France, Spain, Morocco, and Tunisia. The current price of €81 per night, per person, is a true bargain for a balcony cabin on such a diverse route.

The cruise price includes full board in the main and buffet restaurants, as well as coffee, water, tea, and iced tea during the buffet’s opening hours. Most onboard facilities and activities (e.g., use of sun loungers and pools on the outer deck, shows in the theatre, gym, etc.) are also included in the package.
Route
The cruise begins in the Italian port city of Civitavecchia, located one hour away from Rome. One of Civitavecchia’s most impressive structures is the Michelangelo Fortress. The old town, with its many narrow alleys and small squares, offers a cozy atmosphere. The Costa Toscana departs in the evening, first heading to Savona. Known as the “City of Popes” due to the many former popes born there, it’s a historically rich first stop.
Via Marseille, the journey continues to the Catalan metropolis of Barcelona. There, the Sagrada Família stands as one of the most famous landmarks. Of course, there’s much more to see, such as the grand boulevard La Rambla, Park Güell, or the Picasso Museum. On the way south, the ship makes two more stops on the Spanish mainland in Alicante and Málaga.
Next, the Costa Toscana docks in Tangier, Morocco. Here, you should explore the winding alleys of the Medina and the Kasbah fortress. An excursion to Cape Spartel is also worthwhile, as it’s the meeting point of the Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea. After two days at sea, you’ll reach La Goulette. This serves as an excellent starting point for a day trip to the Tunisian capital, Tunis. Besides visiting the old town, a detour to the Zitouna Mosque is highly recommended.
The final stop is Palermo on Sicily. Its historic center is one of the largest in Europe, offering a wealth of attractions for culturally inclined tourists. Noteworthy sights include the Teatro Massimo, the Palazzo Merlo, and the former Spasimo monastery. After 11 nights, your Mediterranean tour concludes back in Civitavecchia.

In total, it can accommodate up to 6,200 passengers and 1,600 crew members. It is one of the most modern and environmentally friendly ships at sea, powered by liquefied natural gas (LNG).

The onboard aqua park allows for swimming and relaxation even in bad weather. For entertainment, the Colosseo, spanning three decks in the middle of the ship, hosts spectacular shows, while the Poltrona Frau Arena theater offers another venue for parties and events. The wellness area with a sauna and Turkish steam bath is available for an additional fee. For children, the Squok Club offers supervised activities for ages 3 and up.
The ship features 11 restaurants and 19 bars & lounges. Your cruise fare includes meals in your assigned main à la carte restaurant as well as the buffet restaurant, which offer a wide variety of Italian and international dishes.
