Lots of Business Class Flights from Norway to China for €1,300 r/t
Star Alliance members Air China and Lufthansa have expanded their sale of business class tickets from Norway to China. You can fly from half-a-dozen Norwegian airports to 18 destinations in China, with prices constantly remaining below €1,400 (~NOK 16,594) for a roundtrip. The only popular destination missing from the sale is Shanghai.
Why it’s awesome: These are great prices for lie-flat-business to Asia. Whether you wish to explore the Middle Kingdom itself or use China as a gateway to travel Japan, Korea or Southeast Asia: You will have a hard time finding cheaper business class offers than this. Unless something exceptional happens.
Luxury Hilton Brands in Dubai for Less Than €140/Night With Extras
ASMALLWORLD currently offers a series of extremely attractive rates for luxury Hilton hotels in Dubai. Rooms at the Conrad Dubai and Waldorf Astoria Palm Jumeirah are available for less than €140/night – a rate that includes breakfast, double Hilton Honors points and flexible cancellation options.
Why it’s awesome: This is really easy to break down. On one hand, you pay a lower price and get more inclusions when booking this offer than paying the cheapest rate with no inclusions on Hilton’s website. On the other hand, these are flex rates. So you can lock up great prices now and, should you not need them, cancel them later without any risk.
Status Match for Hotel Tier Holders up to Oneworld Sapphire
Oneworld member Royal Jordanian Airways has been offering a status match for quite some time. But until December 10, their Royal Club offers the opportunity to match top tier statuses of Accor ALL, Marriott Bonvoy, IHG One Rewards, Hilton Honors and World of Hyatt to Oneworld Sapphire, a status granting alliance wide lounge access. An increased fee of $199 (instead of $149 for airline program matches) is necessary.
Why it’s awesome: Matches from hotel programs to elite airline statuses are rather uncommon. While Royal Jordanian has been offering this status match for several months, hotel program tiers were limited to the (largely worthless) Oneworld Ruby status – a regulation that will likely be back in place on Wednesday.

What Else Was Going on This Week?
- On Friday, Japan Airlines sold business class tickets from Belgium, Germany and the Netherlands to Japan for an insanely low fare of €1,250 r/t. All discounted itineraries featured a change of planes in Doha, and most segments were operated by Qatar Airways. The offer was gone in the early afternoon. At the time of writing, we are not aware of any cancellations from either of the airlines.
Just because they did not make the podium, our other deals of last week are still worth checking out. Because many of them have been online for some time now, availability may not be as good as at the beginning. That’s why we recommend subscribing to our newsletter.
