Possible Sweet Spots
Here are some ways to make the most out of this promotion:
Economy Flights to/from Tokyo for 24,000 Points + €23 o/w
Probably the most attractive way to use your miles is to purchase a ticket for the 13-hour flights to and from Tokyo. There is, however, a catch. The availability is dreadful. But should you be able to find an available date that suits you, go for it. An economy class ticket now costs 24,000 points per way + fees of only €25.

Business Class Over the Atlantic for 40,000 Points + Less than €100 o/w
Usually, a long-haul flight in business class costs 50,000 points per direction. With the discount, it is now available at 40,000 points plus taxes. Sadly, there is not much availability for return flights within the travel period.

But even in economy class, the price can be quite acceptable. A non-stop round-trip from Copenhagen to Toronto costs 48,000 points + €115, which can be a worthwhile redemption. These economy class tickets also include 23 kg of luggage.

To Scandinavia in Economy & SAS Plus
Flights from Germany (i.e. Nordic+ to Scandinavia now cost 16,000 points in economy class, and 24,000 points in Business. From most other European countries, the price is 24,000 points in economy and 40,000 points in SAS Plus.
A round-trip flight from Nordic+ to remote destinations in Scandinavia, such as Svalbard, is often an interesting redemption. Even in SAS Business (SAS Plus on domestic flights – with some refreshments, 2x 23 kg of luggage, and lounge access), this is not a bad use of your miles, even if a free middle seat is sadly not guaranteed on the flights within Norway.

The number of stopovers on the way to your destination does not affect the price. EuroBonus also does not impose fuel surcharges, only the actual taxes and airport fees (usually under €100 for a round trip).

Finding Availability
The best site to find availability for SAS EuroBonus award flights is awardhacks.se. We highly recommend that you use this tool as it can save you a lot of time, especially as the availability for business class flights is very low.

Points Transfer from Amex to SAS EuroBonus
You can transfer American Express Membership Rewards points to SAS EuroBonus at a ratio of 5:4. Although the transfer time is stated as 5 working days, it usually takes only about 24 hours.
