Why is booking with an airline better than with an online travel agency?

More often than not, online travel agencies offer lower fares than airlines do. We still recommend booking with the airlines directly. There are two main reasons for that:

Better Customer Service
In case any problems like delays, cancellations or missed connections arise, you can communicate directly with the airline. The airline has to take care of you because you have a contract with them.

If a travel agency issues your ticket, you may have to reach out to them first. You also depend on your OTA to forward information like flight changes instead of receiving them directly from the airline. In many cases, you may get a prime exhibition of responsibility shifting rather than problem-solving.

This especially applies to premium tickets. You don’t want to spend more than €1,000 to wind up with some budget OTA’s telephone hotline in case anything goes wrong.

Baggage and Other Fees
Economy fares not including hold luggage are industry standard by now. In most cases, travel agencies charge much higher baggage fees than the airlines themselves. If bags are not included in your fare, airlines are often the cheaper alternative.

This also applies to other things like food services, insurances or priority treatment. In almost all cases, you pay less for additional amenities when booking on the airlines’ website.

Qatar Airways Stopover Program: 5-Star Hotels in Doha, Starting at $48/Night https://travel-dealz.com/deal/qatar-airways-stopover-doha/?utm_source=feed&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=rss-feed https://travel-dealz.com/deal/qatar-airways-stopover-doha/#comments Thu, 22 Jan 2026 11:09:00 +0000 https://travel-dealz.eu/?post_type=deal&p=11051#108762

Most guests travelling with Qatar Airways via Doha probably won’t see to see much of the capital of Qatar. Except for the airport, of course. In order to change this, the airline is offering a Discover Qatar program, which allows you to stay at 4 or 5 – for as little as US$48 (~€41) per night.

For this offer, the airline is cooperating with the national tourism authority of Qatar. Hotels can be booked directly through a special website that Qatar Airways has set up specifically for this matter. Booking a flight that includes a stopover can be done via this landing page:

Qatar Stopover Qatar Airways Landing Page

After choosing flight dates, you can first select one of four hotel categories…

Qatar Stopover Package Selection

…and then pick a specific hotel, if it is available during your trip:

Qatar Stopover Hotel Selection

The interface is simple and easy to navigate. While it is very likely that you will get your desired hotel once chosen, Qatar Airways reserves the right to rebook you to a different hotel in the same category without prior notice. That could result in you missing out on perks like free breakfast if you hold a status at a specific chain.

Depending on the fare, a stopover in Doha that lasts for more than 24 hours can lead to a higher price. This is mostly due to additional taxes and fees, since you won’t just simply change aircraft but arrive in Doha and then depart again separately. But more often than not, the discount you get on the hotel rate will compensate for the higher ticket price.

Participating Hotels

Qatar Airways offers discounted rooms for business class and economy passengers alike. It sorts the hotels in four categories – the prices include two adults and one child up to 11 years:

  • Standard 4-star hotel
    • 1 night: US$28 (~€24)
    • 2 nights: US$46 (~€39)

New York: €489 Non-stop Emirates A380 Flights from Milan (With Luggage) https://travel-dealz.com/deal/emirates-italy-usa/?utm_source=feed&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=rss-feed https://travel-dealz.com/deal/emirates-italy-usa/#respond Thu, 22 Jan 2026 09:52:24 +0000 https://travel-dealz.eu/?post_type=deal&p=4355#108708

Gulf carrier Emirates, one of the largest and most influential airlines in the world, is currently selling tickets for its non-stop flights from Milan to New York at a very reasonable price. You can get a round-trip from Italy to JFK airport for €489 which includes a checked bag.

Full transparency: You can find non-stop flights with American Airlines (to JFK) or United (to Newark) for as little as €410 during the travel period. You can find even cheaper prices with a change of planes with Lisbon and Copenhagen. That being said, Emirates offers the cheapest non-stop tickets including checked bags.

Our availability calendar shows you all possible flight dates at the lowest fare. It forwards you either to Emirates’ website:

EK MXP JFK 499
A great nonstop fare for an Emirates flight.

The airline will operate an Airbus A380 on this route (which isn’t that big of a surprise, since Emirates owns almost half of all A380s out there). So, if you haven’t been on board the largest passenger aircraft ever built, and it’s still on your bucket list: just another reason to go for this offer. The plane comes from Dubai and the flight operates according to the 5th freedom rights.

Visa Info

Most Europeans need an electronic system for travel authorization (ESTA) to enter the USA for up to 90 days. This costs US$40 (~€34) and you should apply for it a couple of days before your trip, at the latest.

There are some cases where you cannot apply for an ESTA, e.g. if you’ve been to Cuba since 2021 or to Iran, Iraq, Syria, Sudan, or North Korea since March 2011. In those cases, you’ll need to get a visa from a US embassy or consulate, which can take multiple weeks.

Search & Book

Tickets will be sold until February 2, 2026, according to the fare rules. You have to stay for 4 days or at least spend the night from Saturday to Sunday in New York before flying back to Europe. If you want, you can spend up to three months in the USA. Flights at the lowest fare are available from February through May, and in November and December 2026.

Google Flights (instructions) shows the wrong prices, but the right dates. We recommend using our availability calendar above, which will redirect you to emirates.com.

A few exceptions exist, such as citizens of some Balkan or Eastern European countries who may have different requirements, but for the majority of European travellers, entry is simple and does not require securing a visa through an embassy beforehand.

Until December 2026, citizens of 34 countries in Europe may enter China for 30 days without applying for a visa.

Information & Tips for China

China offers a wide range of sights, from historical landmarks like the Great Wall, the Terracotta Army, and the Forbidden City to modern cities like Shanghai and scenic areas such as Zhangjiajie and Guilin. The currency is the Chinese yuan (CNY), and mobile payments via apps like Alipay and WeChat Pay are widely used, though cash is still accepted. Prices vary—major cities can be moderate to expensive, while rural areas are generally more affordable. Weather conditions differ greatly by region, with cold winters in the north, hot, humid summers in the south, and a generally best travel period in spring or autumn.

China has a highly developed transport system, especially in urban and coastal areas. Most major cities have extensive metro networks that are cheap, efficient, and easy to navigate with English signage. For travel between cities, the high-speed rail network is one of the most advanced in the world, connecting even distant regions quickly and reliably. In rural or less-developed areas, transport options can be more limited and slower, but basic bus or train connections are usually available.

Information & Tips for Egypt

Egypt is best known for ancient sites such as the Pyramids of Giza, the temples of Luxor and Karnak, and the Nile Valley, with Cairo also offering major museums and busy urban life. The local currency is the Egyptian pound (EGP), and everyday costs are generally low by international standards, especially for food, transport, and local services, while hotels and guided tours can vary widely in price. The climate is mostly hot and dry, with very high temperatures in summer, mild winters, and little rainfall outside the Mediterranean coast.

Egypt’s transport infrastructure is functional but uneven. In major cities like Cairo and Alexandria, getting around is possible via metros, buses, minibuses, and ride-hailing apps, though congestion and crowding are common. Between cities, trains run along the Nile Valley and to Alexandria and are generally the most practical option, while long-distance buses and domestic flights fill in gaps, especially for resort areas. Travel is usually manageable with some planning, but comfort and reliability can vary.

Information & Tips for Singapore

Singapore is known for its modern skyline, iconic landmarks like Marina Bay Sands, Gardens by the Bay, and Sentosa Island, as well as its vibrant cultural districts such as Chinatown and Little India. The currency is the Singapore dollar (SGD), and credit cards are widely accepted. The price level can be high, especially for accommodation and dining in tourist areas, but there are also affordable options. The weather is tropical and humid year-round, with occasional rain, making the best time to visit typically from February to April, when it’s slightly drier.

Information & Tips for Bali

Bali is known for its stunning beaches, vibrant rice terraces in Ubud, and cultural landmarks like Uluwatu Temple and Tanah Lot. The local currency is the Indonesian rupiah (IDR), and while credit cards are accepted in many places, cash is still commonly used, especially in smaller towns and markets. The cost of living is generally low, with affordable food, accommodation, and activities, though luxury options are also available. Bali has a tropical climate with a wet season from November to April and a dry season from May to October, making the latter ideal for outdoor activities.

Bali’s transport infrastructure is fairly basic, and getting around can be challenging, especially during peak hours. Within cities like Denpasar or tourist areas like Kuta and Ubud, traffic congestion is common, and public transportation is limited. Most locals and visitors rely on scooters or ride-hailing apps, which are convenient but can be overwhelming for first-time visitors. Traveling between towns is possible by car or shuttle buses, but the roads are often narrow and winding, making journeys slower than expected.

The city has a hot, humid climate year-round, with a rainy season from November to March. Traffic can be heavy, so planning extra time for getting around is often necessary.

Information & Tips for French Guiana

French Guiana, an overseas region of France in South America, is known for its lush rainforests, the Guiana Space Centre near Kourou, and historic sites like the Îles du Salut, including the former penal colony of Devil’s Island. The currency is the euro (EUR), and prices are generally high compared to neighbouring countries, reflecting European standards. Credit cards are accepted in most towns, though cash may be needed in remote areas. The climate is tropical, with hot, humid weather year-round and a rainy season from December to July, making August to November the driest and most comfortable time to visit.

French Guiana’s transport infrastructure is limited, especially outside urban areas. Within cities like Cayenne, there are some local buses, but public transport is sparse and unreliable, so getting around often requires a car. Between towns, travel is mostly by road, with a single main highway connecting major settlements along the coast. Inland areas are harder to reach and often require river transport or small planes. Overall, mobility can be challenging without private transportation, particularly outside the coastal region.

SkyTeam member Saudia is offering a deal from Madrid to South East Asia and China, starting as little as €289. One big advantage of flying with Saudia is that luggage is always included. Also, its economy class is said to be quite good. Departures are available until December, with blackout dates during summer school holidays.

The following routes show good availability without long layovers in Jeddah:

1 The flight from Beijing has a domestic flight to Dammam and requires a transit visa. If you book through the airline’s website, you can obtain it for free 90 days in advance from departure; if you book through an OTA, you will need to pay SAR 535 (~€122) for each transit entry (one on the way there and another on the way back).

Our availability calendar highlights all possible flight dates at the lowest price for trips up to 28 days. It will forward you to Saudia or Trip.com with your selected flight dates. On Trip.com, tickets can be up to €20 cheaper than Saudia on certain dates.

Please note that no alcohol is served in Saudia’s planes or lounges.

This deal doesn’t have an expiration date, and there are no minimum or maximum stay requirements in the fare rules. Departures are available until December, with blackout dates during summer school holidays.

You can find suitable dates using our calendar above or with the help of Google Flights. We recommend booking directly on Saudia’s website, but you can find cheaper prices with trip.com. However, booking on OTAs has its downsides.

Miles & Points

Saudia issues these tickets in booking class T. Here are the miles and points you can earn from Rome to Kuala Lumpur:

  • 10,428 Miles on Xiamen Airlines Egret Club

Information & Tips for Indonesia

Indonesia offers diverse attractions, from the temples of Bali and Yogyakarta to the beaches of Lombok and the cultural hub of Jakarta. The local currency is the Indonesian rupiah (IDR), and cash is widely used, although credit cards are accepted in larger establishments. Prices are generally affordable, though tourist hotspots like Bali can be more expensive. The weather is tropical, with a rainy season from November to March and dry, sunny conditions from April to October, making the latter a popular time to visit.

Indonesia’s transport infrastructure varies by region. In major cities like Jakarta and Bali, traffic can be heavy, and public transport options are limited, although ride-hailing apps like Gojek and Grab are widely used. Within cities, buses, taxis, and motorcycles are common, but they can be slow due to congestion. For intercity travel, domestic flights are the most efficient way to cover long distances, while trains and buses are available but slower and less comfortable. Travel can be more challenging in rural areas, where transportation options may be limited.

Information & Tips for Malaysia

Malaysia is a Southeast Asian country known for its mix of modern cities, rainforests, and cultural heritage. Popular tourist spots include Kuala Lumpur’s Petronas Towers, the historic streets of George Town in Penang, the beaches of Langkawi, and Borneo’s national parks with their diverse wildlife. The local currency is the Malaysian Ringgit (MYR). Prices are generally affordable compared to Western countries, with food, transport, and accommodation offering good value. The climate is hot and humid year-round, with frequent rain—especially during the monsoon season from May to November.

Malaysia has a relatively well-developed transport infrastructure, especially in major cities like Kuala Lumpur, where trains, buses, and ride-hailing apps make getting around fairly easy. The capital has a reliable metro system, but smaller cities rely more on buses and cars. For travel between cities, highways are good and long-distance buses are common, while domestic flights and trains connect major destinations. However, public transport outside urban centers can be limited.

Information & Tips for Thailand

Thailand is famous for its vibrant cities, beautiful beaches, and rich cultural heritage. Key sights include the Grand Palace and Wat Pho in Bangkok, the ancient city of Ayutthaya, and the islands of Phuket and Koh Samui. The currency is the Thai baht (THB), and while credit cards are commonly accepted in tourist areas, cash is often preferred in local markets. The cost of living is generally low, with budget accommodations and street food available, but prices can rise in more touristy areas. The weather is tropical, with a hot, rainy season from May to October and a cooler, dry season from November to February.

Getting around Thailand is fairly easy, with a mix of modern and traditional options. In cities like Bangkok, public transport includes the Skytrain (BTS), metro (MRT), and river ferries, which are convenient but can get crowded. Taxis and motorbike taxis are also widely available. For intercity travel, buses and trains are common and affordable, though train journeys can be slow. Domestic flights are frequent and often the fastest way to travel longer distances, especially to popular islands or northern regions. However, traffic congestion in urban areas can be a challenge, particularly during rush hours.

Info

You don’t necessarily need to decide on specific dates right away. LuxuryEscapes also allows you to lock in the price and then flexibly redeem the voucher you get until August 2027. To do that, click on Buy now, check availability later under the big Check Availability button. You can only redeem it when the same price is available: Winter stays will get more expensive.

You’d be staying in a 62m² Premier Palm Room. It comes with a large bathroom, offering both a walk-in shower and a tub. This room category also comes with a balcony, giving you a stunning view of the artificial Palm island and Dubai’s Skyline. The high quality interior of the room gives a regal feeling, while the cool and calming colour scheme provides a welcome contrast to Dubai’s summer heat.

LuxuryEscapes Cancellation Policy

LuxuryEscapes offers a rather complicated cancellation policy. It basically comes in three steps:

  • Until 7 days after booking: You get a full refund in your original payment form. This is the last chance to get your money back.
  • Up to 14 days before your stay: You can get a full refund in form of a LuxuryEscapes credit. You won’t get your money back, but can use it to book a different hotel on LuxuryEscapes.
  • Less than 13 days before you stay: You won’t get a refund in any form if you cancel or no-show.

The Hotel

The Raffles The Palm Dubai is a luxury hotel located on the outer rim of Dubai’s artificial The Palm island, roughly 30 minutes outside Dubai’s city centre. Its remote location is perfect for a beach resort stay, with nothing but swimming and relaxation on your agenda. If you want to do something more exciting, the Dubai Marina and the Mall of the Emirates are just a short taxi ride away. By visiting the latter, you can also add skiing and penguin petting to your list of holiday activities.

By loading the map, you agree to Google’s privacy policy. Load Map Save selection & always load Google Maps

Even if you don’t want to leave its premises, the hotel as got you covered. Despite the outdoor pool and private beach (that might get too hot during Dubai’s scorching summers), you can also take a swim at the property’s indoor pool. Enjoying a movie is possible at Raffle’s very own cinema theatre.

Apart from the magnificently elegant Le Jardin, where you can enjoy your included breakfast, the hotel offers two more restaurants. Mitagi serves Japanese and Far Eastern kitchen, while you can enjoy Italian and other Mediterranean dishes at Piatti by the Beach. One a-la-carte lunch or dinner per day is included in this offer.

The Raffles The Palm Dubai enjoys overwhelmingly positive reviews, (e.g. 4.6/5 on Google or 4.9/5 on Tripadvisor). Guests praise the quality of service and the size and equipment of the rooms. The only recurring point of criticism is guests complaining about not getting a (unreasonably) early check-in prior to 10 am and a lack of professionalism from the valet parking service. While these are understandable concerns at a high-priced luxury property, it also shows that the hotel itself leaves little room for improvement.

Price-Check

Via LuxuryEscapes offers, you can stay three days for as little as €710. The price is valid for two adults and one child 11 years or younger. When booking the same rate (half board) on Accor’s website, you would pay almost double:

Raffles The Palm Dubai Accor
€1,730.44 for the same room on Accor’s website.

The offer also holds up when comparing it to OTAs like booking.com. There you would pay at least €1,092 on the same dates and the same inclusions, although cancellation options are a bit more flexible.

Adding a China Stopover

Since you have long layovers in both cases, it makes sense to add a stopover in Shenzhen or Haikou. This is possible using the multi-city option and only raises the price marginally.

Information & Tips for Shenzhen

Shenzhen, a major city in southern China near Hong Kong, offers a mix of modern attractions and cultural sites. Key sights include the futuristic skyline of Futian, the tech exhibits at Shenzhen Museum, and theme parks like Window of the World and Splendid China. The local currency is the Chinese Yuan (CNY), and most payments are done via mobile apps like WeChat Pay or Alipay, though cash is still accepted. Prices are moderate—cheaper than Hong Kong but higher than many inland cities. The weather is hot and humid in summer, mild in winter, with typhoons possible from July to September.

Haikou, the capital of China’s Hainan Province, is a relaxed coastal city best known for its beaches, volcanic landscapes, and historic Qilou Old Street with its arcaded buildings. Travelers pay with the Chinese yuan (RMB), and prices are generally moderate, with food and local transport cheaper than in major mainland cities, though resorts and imported goods can cost more. The climate is tropical, meaning it stays warm year-round, with high humidity, a rainy season from roughly May to October, and the occasional typhoon in late summer or early autumn.

The Route

The cruise begins in Piraeus, where the ship does not leave the harbour until late in the evening. This allows for a convenient journey to Greece without the need for an overnight stay beforehand. The first port of call is Nafplio, the former capital of Greece. There, Syntagma Square with its cosy cafés and restaurants invites you to linger. From the Palamidi and Akronafplia fortresses, you can enjoy wonderful views.

The journey then continues to Mykonos, where the MS Europa stays overnight in port. The island is considered one of the country’s most popular destinations. It is particularly renowned for its windmills, which blend beautifully with the surrounding landscape and create a stunning backdrop. After a stop in Delos, the ship leaves Greece and sails to Kuşadası.

Just a few kilometres away is the historic site of Ephesus, where the splendour of Roman antiquity is reflected. The cruise then continues to Bozcaada. The island lies about 20 kilometres from the Dardanelles and is considered Turkey’s most important wine-growing region, as almost a third of Turkish wine comes from here.

Another highlight is the extended stay of two nights in the metropolis of Istanbul. This leaves you plenty of time to visit the most significant sights such as Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque, and Topkapi Palace, all of which are UNESCO World Heritage sites. A stroll through the old town is also highly recommended.

Afterwards, the Greek city of Kavala awaits you. The old town is dominated by a medieval castle dating back to 1425 and offers impressive views of the surrounding coastline. Those who prefer to relax by the sea can do so on one of the city’s beaches. The final port of call is Volos, before the cruise ends back in Piraeus after 12 nights.

The Ship

The MS Europa, operated by Hapag-Lloyd Cruises, is a small luxury cruise ship that has long been positioned at the upper end of the market. Launched in 1999 and extensively modernised over the years, it carries fewer than 400 passengers, which fundamentally shapes the experience on board. Rather than scale or spectacle, the ship is built around space, privacy, and a calm, orderly atmosphere.

Public areas are understated and deliberately uncluttered. Lounges, bars, and observation spaces are designed for quiet conversation rather than entertainment-driven crowds. There is a theatre for lectures, talks, and occasional performances, but nightlife is low-key. Deck space is generous for the number of guests, making it easy to find quiet outdoor areas even on sea days. The overall feel is closer to a private club than a resort-style cruise ship.

Dining is a central part of the Europa experience, with multiple restaurants offering fine-dining–level cuisine rather than large-scale buffet service. Meals are unhurried, service is formal but restrained, and the focus is on consistency rather than variety for its own sake. There is no pressure to book speciality venues or upgrade experiences; the ship operates on an all-inclusive basis that keeps onboard routines simple and predictable.

All cabins are suites, many with balconies, and are designed more like hotel rooms than cruise ship cabins, with generous space and storage. The passenger mix typically skews older and well-travelled, and the atmosphere reflects that: quiet, international, and destination-focused. MS Europa is best suited to travellers who value space, service, and a measured pace at sea over entertainment, innovation, or a sense of buzz.

SO/ is one of Accor Hotels‘ upper scale brands, combining central locations with fresh design ideas. While prices close €100/night are usually hard to find for these hotels, you can currently score such a rate for the SO/ Auckland. If you stay at least three nights at the hotel, you can stay for the price of €104 per night or €312 in total.

Not only is that a decent price by itself, it also includes breakfast, early check-in, late check-out, a $100 food and beverage credit and is fully refundable. We have found availabilities for this price from April through October 2026.

You will need an ASMALLWORLD premium membership to book this rate, coming with a price-tag of €79/year.

To find the cheapest fare, you can try our Go2 form or the availability calendar on ASMALLWORLD’s site. We’ve marked the cheapest dates in green. As long as your first two nights are green, you should end up paying less than €115 per night:

SO Auckland ASW Price

No prepayment is required, the booking can be cancelled up to the day before arrival.

Your booking is a Collection King room, though you will likely be upgraded to the next best category, a Studio King room. Please bear in mind that the upgrade could also just mean a Collection King room with a better view. Both rooms are more than 30m² large and come with amenities like a Nespresso machine. The bathroom features both a tub and a walk-shower.

The Hotel

SO/ Auckland is a design-led hotel located in the Britomart district, right at the edge of the CBD and the waterfront. It sits within walking distance of downtown offices, restaurants, ferry terminals and major sights like the Sky Tower. The rooms are modern and, many with harbour or city views, and the property includes a restaurant, bar, gym and indoor pool. It suits travellers who want a central base with contemporary styling rather than a traditional luxury hotel experience. The Waitemate railway station is close by.

Previous guests have left good reviews (e.g., 4.4/5 on Google). Both the location of the hotel and quality of the interior is praised unanimously. Recurring points of criticism are the perceived over-use of design elements that negatively impacts functionality. The lackluster options during breakfast are criticized quite often, too.

Price Check

Booking directly on Accor’s website, the cheapest refundable rate including breakfast starts at roughly €151/night. That’s roughly 50% more than on ASMALLWORLD – without the US$100 (~€86) hotel credit or the upgrade. Even if you purchase the €79 membership only for this one deal, you’d still be getting a good deal.

SO Auckland Accor Price

Even the cheapest prepaid rate without benefits costs at least €130 per night – significantly more than ASMALLWORLD’s offer.

Route

Your journey begins in Tampa, on Florida’s Gulf Coast. It is worth arriving a day or two early to enjoy the beaches or visit the nearby theme parks in Orlando. The ship departs in the afternoon, heading south toward the Caribbean.

The first stop is Great Stirrup Cay, NCL’s private island in the Bahamas. Here you can enjoy a classic beach day with white sand and turquoise water before the ship turns east into the Atlantic. You will then have a relaxing stretch of six sea days to enjoy the ship’s amenities.

The crossing includes stops in the Azores, breaking up the journey. First comes Faial Island, home to the stunning Caldeira crater hike amid lush volcanic landscapes, followed by Ponta Delgada on São Miguel, famed for its crater lakes and greenery.

Upon reaching mainland Europe, the ship stops in Porto (Leixões), giving you a chance to sample the famous local wine and sandes de pernil (pork sandwich) from Casa Guedes. The voyage concludes the following morning in Lisbon.

The Ship

The Norwegian Dawn, launched in 2002 and refurbished several times since, is a mid-sized ship in Norwegian Cruise Line’s fleet, carrying around 2,300 passengers. Compared to the line’s newer mega-ships, it feels more manageable in scale, with a layout that’s straightforward to navigate.

One of the ship’s defining features is its Freestyle Cruising approach, with a wide variety of dining venues rather than fixed meal times. The Dawn has more than ten restaurants, ranging from main dining rooms and buffets to speciality options like a steakhouse, teppanyaki, and Italian.

Entertainment includes a theatre for production shows, a casino, and lounges with live performances. Outdoors, there are pools, hot tubs, a sports court, and deck space for sunbathing. The onboard currency is the US Dollar, though card payments are standard.

Below are some impressions of the ship as well as the cabins:

Getting There & Back

Since this cruise starts in Florida and ends in Portugal, you will need a one-way flight from Europe to the U.S. Unfortunately, this cruise departs during Easter holidays, and affordable options are limited. If you want to travel with a flag carrier on a direct flight, your best option is to fly on April 3 with Iberia on a non-stop flight from Madrid to Orlando for €469, including luggage.

Seoul, Taipei, & More: Air China Flights to East Asia Starting at €385 from 5 European Countries (with Luggage) https://travel-dealz.com/deal/air-china-east-asia/?utm_source=feed&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=rss-feed https://travel-dealz.com/deal/air-china-east-asia/#respond Mon, 19 Jan 2026 15:20:06 +0000 https://travel-dealz.com/?post_type=deal&p=105582#108313

Air China is currently putting a nice discount on some of its routes from Europe to East Asia. The cheapest flights are available from Milan to Seoul and from Budapest to Chongqing. But there’s also good availability to Taipei, also from other European cities, such as Brussels. Last but not least, all fares include 23 kg of luggage.

There’s good availability to Taipei:

  • From Stockholm: €420 (with night in Beijing on way back)
  • From Budapest: €440
  • From Brussels: €479
  • From Warsaw: €518 (with night in Beijing on way back)

Air China also has a few other nice deals, such as:

  • Milan – Seoul: €385
  • Budapest – Chongqing: €388
  • Budapest – Hong Kong: €467
  • Stockholm – Tokyo: €613 (with night in Beijing on way back)

We’ve marked some available dates in green. But please don’t hesitate to play around a bit with other dates as well. The availability is best in May, except to Chongqing, where availability ends in March.

Most flights are routed via Beijing. The only non-stop option is flying from Budapest to Chongqing, and Milan-Seoul is routed via Chengdu.

Search & Book

Sadly, Google Flights’s calendar is no help at finding available dates. Luckily, Skyscanner‘s calendar can help you out. Enter your preferred route, and then select Flexible dates.

You’ll then be shown the prices for each outbound and inbound date, with the cheapest marked in green. Be aware that Skyscanner doesn’t have all prices loaded. Dates with a magnifying glass could be available as well. Make sure to experiment a bit.

While we recommend using Skyscanner to search for availability, we wouldn’t necessarily recommend it for booking. Booking through a trustable OTA, such as Trip.com (with better customer service and good connections to Air China) should be better than some random OTA. Their website is also more user-friendly (especially for English-speakers) than Air China’s website. The only advantage of Air China’s website is that it has a +/- 3 day calendar, with reliable results.

Miles & Points

The tickets should be issued in booking class P on most routes. To give you an example, the flights from Milan to Seoul would get you:

Warning

Aegean Miles+Bonus still has booking class P listed as “First Class”, giving 200% of the distance. It’s highly unlikely that they’ll actually credit that. In the worst of cases, they may not credit anything at all.

Cayenne, Martinique, Guadeloupe, Punta Cana, & More: €1,439 Air Caraibes Business Class from Paris in July & August https://travel-dealz.com/deal/air-caraibes-business-cayenne/?utm_source=feed&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=rss-feed https://travel-dealz.com/deal/air-caraibes-business-cayenne/#comments Mon, 19 Jan 2026 15:01:16 +0000 https://travel-dealz.com/?post_type=deal&p=61991#108327

Air Caraïbes is offering a deal from Paris to the Caribbean and French Guiana, starting at just €1,439. This offer includes two items of checked luggage (up to 32kg each). Departures are available from Paris-Orly.

Most flights are operated non-stop by Airbus A350 aircraft (Cancun appears to be A330 only). Flights to Santo Domingo may have a short stop in Samana, and vice versa. Flights to Saint Martin are routed via Guadeloupe, with the connection between Guadeloupe and Grand Case operated by an ATR 72.

While the name Air Caraïbes might be associated with budget travel—which is somewhat true for their tight Economy Class—the Business Class is a different story. The Airbus A350 features a modern business class with lie-flat seats. Fares also include lounge access, enhanced catering, and two checked bags up to 32 kg each.

Important: Only the Airbus A350 offers a competitive lie-flat product. You should avoid booking the Airbus A330 if possible, as it does not offer a flat sleeping surface despite recent fleet modernization.

Visa Info

EU citizens can enter the French overseas territories (Martinique, Guadeloupe, French Guiana) with a valid ID card. For the Dominican Republic, Mexico, and St. Martin, a passport is required.

This deal does not have a specific expiration date, but availability is limited to flights in July and August 2026. A minimum stay is not strictly defined, while the maximum stay is 12 months.

Google Flights helps you find additional flight dates, but with a twist, the preview calendar does not show the cheapest price, you can only see it after selecting dates. We recommend booking directly on the airline’s website, but you can find cheaper prices with Skyscanner. Booking directly with the airline costs approximately €50 more.

Miles & Points

This ticket is issued in booking class I. Miles can only be credited to the Air Caraïbes frequent flyer program.

From Frankfurt to Ulaanbaatar, a Boeing 787 Dreamliner is used according to flight schedule data. This aircraft type features a 1-2-1 reverse herringbone seat configuration with lie-flat seats. You can also find more information on the business class experience at OMAAT or in our review. The flight time between Frankfurt and Mongolia is just under 9 hours.

Between Mongolia and Seoul, Boeing 787 Dreamliners (lie-flat), Boeing 767s (angled-flat), or Boeing 737MAX (recliner) are used. On the return trip, you can only avoid the Boeing 737 if you are willing to take a long stopover in Mongolia. These connections are ideal if you want to incorporate a short stopover, as mentioned above.

Visa Info

Some EU citizens can enter South Korea visa-free and stay for up to 90 days until the end of 2025. Please check if you have to register via K-ETA before starting your trip.

If you are interested in a stopover or long layover in Mongolia, citizens of most EU countries can enter the country visa free for trips short than thirty days.
