The hotel has a Michelin-star restuarant, a heated rooftop pool, modern rooms, and usually costs at least €300 per night. Through LuxuryEscapes, you’ll only pay €225 + the €16.50 city tax, saving around 25%. The price includes breakfast and is available between January and March and in November and December 2026. You can also stay there in the next few weeks before Christmas at a slightly higher price.

You’ll be staying in a Design room, which is one category above the lowest room category. The room is 27 m2 large and has a queen bed. The room also has a desk, TV, Wi-Fi, and other typical amenities.
The rate includes daily buffet breakfast for two, served from 7:30 to 11:00. You’ll also get a welcome drink during check-in (a glass of cava or a glass of water). In you room, you’ll also find a bottle of red wine. Once during your stay, you can also get a 20% discount if you eat lunch or dinner at the hotel’s La Plassohla restaurant (not the one with the Michelin star). Parking is not included and would cost €37 per day.
Editor’s Note: The hotel is intriguing, offering classic luxury to a small number of guests, in a great location in a completely modernized building. While we’ve seen higher discounts for some other LuxuryEscapes deals, this hotel seems a bit more exclusive than usual.
The Hotel
Hotel Ohla Barcelona is a five-star boutique hotel located on Via Laietana in the historic heart of Barcelona’s Gothic Quarter, just a few minutes on foot from the cathedral, the old city and major cultural spots. The building’s neoclassical façade, recently revived and decorated with a distinctive ceramic-eye installation, hides a thoroughly contemporary interior. The hotel offers 74 rooms, a rooftop with a heated pool and a cocktail bar, a spa and fitness area, and a fine-dining restaurant with a Michelin star. For travellers looking for a centrally located, design-oriented base with easy walking access to Barcelona’s old town and cultural sights, Ohla Barcelona is a solid, complete option.
Previous guests have left very good reviews of the hotel (e.g. 4.6/5 on Google or 4.7/5 on TripAdvisor with over 3,000 reviews), many praising the clean and modern rooms, the excellent location, and the gorgeous exterior. We couldn’t find any recurring points of criticism.
The hotel sits on Via Laietana, right between the Gothic Quarter and El Born, giving you quick walking access to the cathedral, the old town, and many of the city’s main sights. It’s also close to several metro stations, making it easy to reach other parts of Barcelona. The beach is half an hour away on foot or 15 minutes by bus. The location works well for travellers who want to stay in the historic centre without being tucked into narrow side streets.
Price Check
While LuxuryEscapes offers a fixed price of €242 per night (incl. city tax), the hotel itself – even on the cheapest dates – charges over €305 per night for a rate with breakfast in the Design room.
In other words, you’re saving at least 23% by booking throug LuxuryEscapes. However, the savings can be even higher. An extreme example is February 16-18, where the hotel charges €387 per night, while LuxuryEscapes stays at €242 – i.e. 37% cheaper.
