Iberia Plus is currently running an exciting promotion. The Oneworld frequent flyer program is offering many award flights with a 60% discount. Taxes and fees are not reduced, but fortunately, fuel surcharges are comparatively low.
The offer is valid for travel from October 1 to December 4, 2025. While similar promotions in the past were targeted at specific members, this time it appears that all users can access it.
With this deal, for example, you can get transatlantic Business Class flights from a sensational 16,200 Avios + €140 in surcharges. Availability is already very limited, though, with only a few long-haul Business seats left. In theory, the deal is bookable until September 11.
Sample Prices
The discount applies only to flights operated by Iberia (or Air Nostrum). Most long-haul routes are indeed reduced by 60% in both Economy and Business Class. However, there are a few exceptions:
- On some routes (e.g. to/from Tokyo), there is no discount at all
- Premium Economy is often not discounted
- Some routes seem to be discounted only for departures from Europe, not the other way around
Ultimately, trial and error helps, especially since prices vary by date. Here are some examples we found (one-way prices):
- Business Class:
- Madrid – Doha: 23,600 Avios + €116
- Berlin – Madrid – Doha: 30,900 Avios + €177
- Economy Class (hand baggage only):
- Munich – Madrid: 2,600 Avios + €34
- Madrid – Doha: 6,400 Avios + €86
- Madrid – Santo Domingo, Dom. Rep.: 8,000 Avios + €127
- Dallas – Madrid: 8,000 Avios + €89
- Puerto Rico – Madrid – Frankfurt: 9,000 Avios + €93
- New York – Madrid – Munich: 9,000 Avios + €106
- Panama – Madrid – Munich: 10,600 Avios + €138
- Zurich – Madrid – Washington: 10,950 Avios + €143
- Mexico – Madrid – Zurich: 12,500 Avios + €146
- Berlin – Madrid – Lima: 19,850 Avios + €182

Finding Business Class Availability
Iberia technically offers a calendar tool as part of its search function, but it’s not very useful and usually only shows Economy prices (when it works at all). Searching via American Airlines works much better, as you can filter by nonstop flights and travel class.
Flights you find there should generally also be bookable through Iberia Plus. However, the “trick” is not always reliable on routes where both Iberia and AA operate. Still, it’s a quick way to check where seats are available, or not.

You can then try booking either directly through the Iberia website or via the form linked below:
Transferring Avios to Iberia Plus Temporarily Suspended
There’s one complication: a few days ago, British Airways suspended transfers between Iberia Plus and the BA Executive Club “temporarily” due to increased fraud cases. This means that at the moment, you can’t move points from British Airways, Finnair, or Qatar into Iberia Plus.
