Iberia Plus: Up to 60% Off Many Award Flights (e.g. Transatlantic Business for 28,350 Avios + €140 o/w)

Iberia business class window seat

Iberia Plus is currently running an exciting promotion. The Oneworld frequent flyer program is offering many award flights with a discount of up to 60%. Taxes and fees are not reduced, but fortunately, fuel surcharges are comparatively low.

The offer is valid until December 2, 2025, for travel until March 25, 2026. While similar promotions in the past were targeted at specific members, this time it appears that all users can access it.

The offer comes with three very attractive sweet spots: European business class flights from/to Spain are available for just 6,600 Avios + €34 per direction. In addition to that, long-haul economy tickets start at just 6,400 Avios + €79. You can also find reduced award prices for transatlantic business class, starting at 28,350 Avios + €140.

The discount applies only to flights operated by Iberia, Iberia Express or Air Nostrum. Many long-haul routes are indeed reduced by 60%. Ultimately, trial and error helps, especially since prices vary by date. Here are some examples we found (one-way prices):

You can find more routes with a 30% or 60% discount on Iberia’s website.

Here is a map with all destinations that are discounted by 60%. Long-haul destinations only get the 60% discount in economy class.

You can zoom in to get a clearer picture and hover over dots to see the destination name

Transferring Avios to Iberia Plus

You can transfer Avios between all affiliated programs that use Avios (Finnair, Iberia and Qatar Airways) to the British Airways Club. From there, you can transfer them to any other program without losing value. So while a direct transfer from Finnair or Qatar Airways won’t work, it works when sending them to your British Airways Club account first.

You wrote “You can transfer Avios between all affiliated programs that use Avios (Finnair, Iberia and Qatar Airways) to the British Airways Club. From there, you can transfer them to any other program without losing value.”

Is something like that possible also as points transfer within Star Alliance airlines?

Hi, I am unable to login in to my Iberia account at the moment. Is the problem on my side or a general issue?

  3. Benji says:

why do you include this for Denmark when non of the flights are from denmark?

    • Ditmar Lange says:

Because the price is so extemely low, that even if you’re in Denmark, it can be worthwhile traveling to Madrid or whatever on a separate ticket to catch one of these super cheap long-haul business flights.

      • Benji says:

Unfortunately not because if it was just a ticket without luggage then yes.
If i should travel from denmark to spain it would be cheap if it is without luggage.. But who travels to spain from denmark without luggage in order to travel from Spain on business class? Nobody.. The point with business class is also that you can bring a lot of luggage and it’s long haul.. not just a weekend

        • Ditmar Lange says:

Some people get free luggage thanks to a frequent flyer status. I understand what you’re saying and that this deal is not for you, but it’s not super improbable that this is a good use for some Danish person’s Avios.

      • Lze says:

Why do you think those prices are “super cheap”.

They are cheap, but super cheap?

        • Ditmar Lange says:

Iberia long-haul business is already one of the best redemption options for Avios. Reduce the price by another 30%, and I’d say super cheap. But I guess it’s up to everyone’s own definition, if it’s super cheap, or just cheap, or relatively cheap…
