Mayotte: €1,512 Kenya Airways Business Class from Paris (Long Layovers)

Kenya Airways Boeing 787

SkyTeam member Kenya Airways currently sells cheap business class tickets to the seldomly discounted destination Mayotte. You can reach the island off the East African coast for as little as €1,512 with a change of planes (and long layovers) in Nairobi both ways.

To get the desired price, you need to sign up for Kenya Airways’ loyalty program Asante Rewards and enter the code ASANTE10 while booking on their website.

Here are some examples for discounted flights:

The links above and our Go2 tool forward you to Skyscanner. From there, you can proceed to Kenya Airways’ website, where you can enter the promo code ASANTE10 and purchase the tickets at the advertised fare. We have been able to find departures between November 2025 and May 2026.

First, you’ll be flying in the Boeing 787 Dreamliner with lie-flat seats to Nairobi. A review of the Kenya Airways business class on the Boeing 787 can be found at Live and Let’s Fly. From Nairobi to your final destination, you’ll then continue on an Embraer 190 aircraft with recliner seats in business class. Layovers are twelve hours long on the outbound and roughly six hours on the inbound flight.

Visa Info

Mayotte is a French overseas territory, so most EU citizens won’t require a visa. You should bring your passport nonetheless, especially if you wish to leave the airport during your layover in Nairobi.

Search & Book

According to the fare rules, tickets are on sale until March 31, 2026, for travel between September 2025 and May 2026. A minimum stay of three days is required to get the lowest fare, while you may not stay longer than three months.

Finding flight dates is not easy, as Google Flights only gives you clues, but no reliable information. Most previewed flight dates at €2,300 drop to the prices of €1,700 on Kenya Airways’ website, where you can use the promo code ASANTE10 to get the desired price. However, that does not work in every case.

You need to enter your Asante Rewards member number to get the code to work.

Information & Tips for Mayotte

Mayotte, a French overseas department in the Indian Ocean, offers a mix of volcanic landscapes, white-sand beaches, and coral reefs, with popular sights including the lagoon (one of the largest enclosed lagoons in the world), Mount Choungui, and the Dzaoudzi market. The local currency is the Euro, and prices tend to be higher than in nearby African nations, reflecting its French administrative status. The weather is tropical, with a hot, humid rainy season from November to April and a cooler, drier period from May to October—ideal for travel.

Getting around Mayotte can be challenging due to limited public transport and infrastructure. Shared taxis (called “bush taxis”) are the most common way to travel between towns, but they can be irregular and crowded. Within cities, walking is often necessary, as there’s little organized urban transport. Roads are often narrow and in mixed condition, so renting a car is an option, but driving can be slow and tricky, especially in more remote areas.
