Kuwait Airways First Class from Amman to Bangkok for €1,375 (Oneway for €901)

Kuwait Airways

Kuwait Airways is offering a deal on its first class from Amman to Bangkok, starting at just €901 for a one-way flight or €1,365 for a round-trip. It’s important to note that Kuwait Airways is a dry airline, meaning no alcohol is served on board or in the lounges.

You’re paying barely more than for a business class ticket, and for that price, the product is quite decent. This offer includes a very generous baggage allowance of three checked bags, each weighing up to 32 kg. Departures are available until December 15, 2025.

The aircraft types on the feeder flights from Amman to Kuwait are constantly changing. The example above shows a Boeing 777, which would feature the same first class as the long-haul flight. However, on other days, Airbus A330neo (with lie-flat business class) and Airbus A320 (with recliners in a 2-2 configuration) are also scheduled. So, pay close attention to the aircraft type indicated during booking.

The flight duration is about 2 hours. In Kuwait, you can visit the first class Lounge during your roughly 2-hour layover. Don’t expect too much from it, especially regarding food and beverages. You can find a review here at One Mile at a Time. This leaves about 7 hours of flight time from Kuwait to Bangkok on a Boeing 777. The First Class consists of 8 seats in a 1-2-1 configuration. The hard product is quite decent and even includes a sliding door for added privacy. Reviews are fairly unanimous that this is the main positive aspect, while catering and entertainment leave something to be desired.

Here are three reviews to give you an idea:

Search & Book

This deal does not have an expiration date, but there are no minimum stay requirements. Departures are available until December 15, 2025.

According to the fare rules, tickets can be cancelled for a fee of US$115 (~€99). Third-party providers may charge additional fees; for example, Trip.com charges approximately €23.

You can find suitable dates using the ITA Matrix (filter by airline with the routing code KU+). Google Flights’ calendar view is not reliable for this deal. We recommend booking via Trip.com as it is often the cheapest option. You can also compare prices on Skyscanner or book directly on the Kuwait Airways’ website for a slightly higher price (from 765 JOD). However, booking on OTAs has its downsides.

Why is booking with an airline better than with an online travel agency?

More often than not, online travel agencies offer lower fares than airlines do. We still recommend booking with the airlines directly. There are two main reasons for that:

Better Customer Service
In case any problems like delays, cancellations or missed connections arise, you can communicate directly with the airline. The airline has to take care of you because you have a contract with them.

If a travel agency issues your ticket, you may have to reach out to them first. You also depend on your OTA to forward information like flight changes instead of receiving them directly from the airline. In many cases, you may get a prime exhibition of responsibility shifting rather than problem-solving.

This especially applies to premium tickets. You don’t want to spend more than €1,000 to wind up with some budget OTA’s telephone hotline in case anything goes wrong.

Baggage and Other Fees
Economy fares not including hold luggage are industry standard by now. In most cases, travel agencies charge much higher baggage fees than the airlines themselves. If bags are not included in your fare, airlines are often the cheaper alternative.

This also applies to other things like food services, insurances or priority treatment. In almost all cases, you pay less for additional amenities when booking on the airlines’ website.

Miles & Points

This ticket is issued in booking class R. Mileage credit is only possible with the Kuwait Oasis Club. You will earn approximately 15,900 miles for a one-way flight.

The utility of these miles is limited. However, starting from 20,000 miles, a class upgrade between Kuwait and Europe should be possible according to the Membership Guide.
