Low-cost airline LEVEL will currently fly you to the United States from Barcelona for as little as €199. As Iberia‘s budget subsidiary, meals and checked luggage cost extra (carry-on bags are included). The Comfort fare, including a checked bag of up to 23 kg and a hot meal and free beverages during the flight, prices out at €309. Departures are available between January and April 2025.
For some reason, all our links to LEVEL only work the second time you click on them. The first time, you’ll only be redirected to LEVEL’s home page.
Our availability calendar highlights all possible flight dates at the lowest price for trips of 5 – 33 days. It will forward you to LEVEL with your selected flight dates:

LEVEL uses ex-Iberia A330-200s with a 2-4-2 configuration in economy class. There is in-flight entertainment, although meals cost an extra if you purchase the cheapest package. The flight takes roughly 8 hours from Barcelona to Boston and roughly 6h35 on the way back.
Most Europeans need an electronic system for travel authorization (ESTA) to enter the USA for up to 90 days. This costs US$21 (~€19) and you should apply for it a couple of days before your trip, at the latest.
There are some cases where you cannot apply for an ESTA, e.g. if you’ve been to Cuba since 2021 or to Iran, Iraq, Syria, Sudan, or North Korea since March 2011. In those cases, you’ll need to get a visa from a US embassy or consulate, which can take multiple weeks.

Tickets should be available until December 4, 2024 for departures between January and April 2025. You can find suitable dates using our calendar above or with the help of Google Flights. We recommend booking directly on Level’s website
Miles & Points
Since these flights are operated by Level, you can only earn Avios with Iberia, and it will depend on the cost of your flight, where you book it, and the options you choose. When making the reservation, Iberia’s website will indicate the Avios and elite points you can earn with the flights you purchase. In the case of the cheapest option from Barcelona to Boston, you will earn 910 Avios and 80 Elite Points. However, Iberia charges roughly €200 more than Level, and that’s probably not worth it.

Information & Tips for USA
The United States offers a wide range of tourist sights, from national parks like Yellowstone and the Grand Canyon to cities such as New York, Los Angeles, and Washington, D.C. The currency is the U.S. dollar (USD), and card payments are widely accepted. Prices vary by region but can be high in major cities, especially for accommodation and dining. Weather differs greatly across the country—winters can be harsh in the north, while the south often stays mild; summers are generally hot and humid in many areas.
The U.S. transport infrastructure is highly car-dependent, especially outside major cities. Urban centres like New York, Chicago, and San Francisco have functional public transit, but many other cities have limited options. Between cities, domestic flights are common for long distances, while intercity buses and Amtrak trains cover some routes, though often with slower speeds and less frequency compared to other countries. Without a car, getting around can be inconvenient in many parts of the country.
