Star Alliance founding member Lufthansa has a sweet deal on flights to Buenos Aires, Argentina. Prices for a round trip in Premium Economy Class start at £651 (751€). You can choose from multiple departure airports:
All routes will first take you to Frankfurt, Germany from where you’ll continue to Argentina on a non-stop connection. Since Lufthansa doesn’t offer Premium Economy Class on short-haul flights, your first and last segment will be in Economy.
Search & Book
Unfortunately, we couldn’t find any fare rules for this offer. The deal seems to be available throughout the year, with some exceptions during summer. Also, we don’t know how long you can book the fare, but in order to be on the safe side we wouldn’t wait too long.
Use Google Flights (instructions) to find dates that suit your time schedule. After that, you can get either book directly on Lufthansa’s website or use our Travel Dealz Flight search to compare prices.
Mileage
Lufthansa issues tickets for flights in Economy in booking class Y. Premium Economy should get you booking class N. As a result this trip is also pretty interesting if you are collecting award and tier miles. Most Star Alliance programs will credit you with 100% award miles. Here are some examples of how many miles you could earn:
- Miles&More: 100% award miles (125% including Executive Bonus)
- SAS Eurobonus: 100% award miles
- Aegean Miles+Bonus: 100% award miles
- United MileagePlus: 100% award miles
- Turkish Airlines Miles&Smiles: 100% award miles
Lufthansa Premium Economy
A ticket in for Premium Economy class gives you access to the Business Class Lounge on some airports for an extra fee and moreover you can bring two pieces of luggage (23 kg each) with you.
The premium class distinguishes itself from the Economy class by seats with more legroom and separate arm- and footrests. There is also a maximum of 2 – 4 – 2 seats per row. In other words, you can’t sit farther away from the aisle than one seat. Also, there is a power connection build into every seat.
Just like in Business Class, you’ll get a welcome drink before take-off and can choose your meal from a menu, which is then served on porcelain dishes. For extra comfort during the flight, there is an amenity kit with travel accessories (sleeping mask, toothbrush, socks…) and a bottle of water.
