Coco Bodu Hithi, Maldives: 188m² Island Villa for €610/Night, incl. Transfers, Full Board & Alcoholic Drinks (min. 5 Nights)

Coco Bodu Hithi Island Villa Living Room

LuxuryEscapes currently offers a marvelous deal for the Coco Bodu Hithi Resort on the Maldive Islands. You can rent a large island villa for as little as €610 per night, when staying at least five nights. That is already a fairly decent price by itself, but the list of included amenities is staggering. Not only is the notoriously expensive transport for two persons already included, the deal also makes all meals and all beverages consumed at the property free of charge. The offer is 40% cheaper than the price on the hotel website.

The rate is available for travel between May and September this and next year, with prices rising up to €100 per night during the winter.

Regarding the cancellation policy: You can get your money back up to 7 days after booking the hotel. Then, up to 22 days before arrival, you can cancel and get 100% as LuxuryEscapes credit. Once that deadline has passed, it’s game over, and you’re stuck with the booking. But you’ll probably already have non-refundable flights by then anyway.

While both size and amenities of the villa are great by itself (large tub; private pool; daily refilled, free minibar and more), the package offered by luxury escapes is absolutely amazing. When booking on the hotel website, the speed boat transfer to the resort alone comes with a price-tag of €212 per person, saving you €424 when travelling as a couple.

The Resort

The Coco Bodu Hithi is located on the North Male Atoll. The 100 villas and water villas are connected to an own, privately owned island. On its premises, you can also find a public infinity pool, as well as three restaurants. All offerings at the AIR restaurant are included. You can enjoy a free-flow of soft drinks and alcoholic beverages at the latitude bar. The all inclusive-package also includes one dinner at each of the other restaurants, as well as a daily renewed $70 credit for further visits to the specialty restaurants.

Of course, you can also enjoy the island’s beaches, which you can access directly from your villa. If you want to explore the underwater marvels of the Maldives, you can rent snorkeling equipment free of charge.

Previous guests have left outstanding reviews for the resort (e.g. 4.6/5 on Google or 4.5/5 on Tripadvisor). Many reviewers were overwhelmed by the sheer beauty of the island and quality of service – even compared to other resorts on the Maldives. The most common points of criticism are the lack of variety of food during dinner (though the quality is praised) on longer stays; and that some villas seem a bit dated. However, most of these complaints drown in a sea of recent, positive reviews – most of which from couples on their honeymoon.

Price Check

The best part of this deal is comparing the price offered by LuxuryEscapes to other vendors. As mentioned earlier, the deal comes at cost at €610 per night (at least €3,049 in total). When booking the same number of nights on the hotel’s website (with the same amenities) it prices out at €5,434 – more than €1,000 per night when breaking it down.

Third party providers like booking.com charge €4,913 for the same room on the same dates. While you may save 10% with booking’s genius discount, you still have to add the €424 transfer cost (for 2 people) on top, leaving you with a measly discount of roughly €70, while still paying almost €2,000 more than on Luxury Escapes.

If you are planning a stay on the Maldives, this is truly one of the best deals currently available – even if it doesn’t include staying at the island’s famous water villas. In case you want to get there in style at a discounted price, check out Etihad’s business class deal from Copenhagen.
