Marriott Hotels‘ loyalty program Marriott Bonvoy is giving members extra incentives for staying in their hotels. If you are a member of the program (signing up is free), you can earn at least 1,000 bonus points for stays of at least two nights between June 27 and September 26, 2025. The promotion is limited to stays in Africa, Europe and the Middle East.
To get the bonus, you need to book a special rate for upper category rooms.

Search & Book
The amount of bonus points you can earn by stay depends on the Marriott brand you’re staying at. You will be rewarded for a stay of at least two nights:
- 1,000 bonus points at:
- Element
- Residence Inn
- Marriott Executive Apartments
- Protea Hotels
- Four Points Flex by Sheraton
- 2,000 bonus points at:
- AC Hotels by Marriott
- Aloft Hotels
- Courtyard Hotels
- Four Points by Sheraton
- Moxy Hotels
- 5,000 bonus points at:
- Autograph Collection Hotels
- Delta Hotels
- Le Meridien
- Marriott Hotels
- Renaissance Hotels
- Sheraton
- Tribute Portfolio
- Westin
- 10,000 bonus points at:
- The Ritz-Carlton
- St. Regis Hotels & Resorts
- The Luxury Collection
- EDITION
- W Hotels
- JW Marriott
These are bonus points, that you will receive on top of your regular earnings. You can find a list of participating hotels on the promotion’s landing page.
After selecting a hotel, you need to comb through the offered room categories to find one that is eligible for the promotion. The promotional rate will be explicitly mentioned:

The rate might be more expensive than comparable rates – in our case €3 more expensive than the flexible Member Rate.
While the lowest reward of 1,000 is nothing to get too excited about, it surely won’t hurt. The cheapest award nights cost 5,000 points during off-peak times, though that really doesn’t apply to many hotels, especially in Europe. Usually, most hotels in Europe will charge at least 15,000 points for a night. The total number of points you can earn from this promotion is not capped.
Since you need to book the promotional rate, only new booking can earn the bonus points.

Important: You Must Book on Marriott’s Website
Bookings made via online travel agencies, such as Booking.com are not eligible to earn points or elite nights. You have to book these stays directly on Marriott’s website. Feel free to use our search form to find your desired hotel on marriott.com:

I am already Gold Elite, this promo worked for me. My wife is Platinum Elite and she gets the same error as others:
The reason for this error could be:
– You’re trying to access a miles promotion and are a points-earner, or vice versa
– You are not eligible for this promotion
– This promotion has expired
If it doesn’t work, it’s because you have miles as earning preference. If you change to points, it’ll let you register. Try 🙂
Not working for me either as for 16:58, September 12th. Currently Silver Elite. Received the following error message:
