You don’t necessarily need to decide on specific dates right away. LuxuryEscapes allows you to lock in the price and flexibly redeem the voucher until August 1, 2027, travelling by August 31, 2027. To do this, click on “Buy Now” and check availability later under the large “Check Availability” button.
You will be staying in a One Bedroom Suite with Outdoor Bathtub. The floor space is advertised at 78 m2, though this likely includes the terrace on which the bathtub is located.

LuxuryEscapes Cancellation Policy
LuxuryEscapes offers a rather complicated cancellation policy. It basically comes in three steps:
- Until 7 days after booking: You get a full refund in your original payment form. This is the last chance to get your money back.
- over 22 days before your stay: You can get a full refund in form of a LuxuryEscapes credit. You won’t get your money back, but can use it to book a different hotel on LuxuryEscapes.
- Less than 21 days before you stay: You won’t get a refund in any form if you cancel or no-show.
The Hotel
The Meliá Phuket Mai Khao is a five-star rated hotel, located in the north of the island. While you can easily access the beach from the hotel premises, you cannot go to a near town or village by foot. Taking a Grab or taxi is necessary to get around. On a positive note, the airport is merely a twenty-minute drive away. In addition to your suite and a beautiful swimming pool, the hotel also features three restaurants and a pool bar. The lobby of the hotel, set around a small pond, also seems quite spectacular.
Previous visitors have left overwhelmingly positive reviews of the hotel (e.g. 4.5/5 on Tripadvisor or 4.6/5 on Google). Guests praise the friendly staff, spacious rooms and overall beautiful layout of the resort. The main point of criticism is the already mentioned remoteness of the hotel, as you cannot get around to nearby towns (and therefore shops and other restaurants) by foot.

Price Check
As previously mentioned, LuxuryEscapes charges €141/night (or €707 in total) for a five-night stay – including half-broad. On the same dates, Melia charges almost double (€280/night) for a non-refundable rate with the same inclusions. Even if you skip the second hot meal per day, you’d still be paying more than through LuxuryEscape’s offer.

LuxuryEscapes beats the price on Melia’s website in almost every instance, except for singular dates in June. While the half board rate remains unreasonably pricey in these cases, the Bed and breakfast rate drops to €136/night. That makes it slightly cheaper than LuxuryEscapes offer, but you’d still have to find lunch or dinner for €2.50 per adult, per day to make the price competitive. In every other case, LuxuryEscapes is by far the better option.
