You can currently book a room at the 4-star Mercure Sao Paulo Jardins for only €50. That rate is fully refundable. You can also pay €63 for a rate that includes breakfast. Either way, you always have the choice between a room with a double bed or with twin beds.

The room is roughly 24 square meters large and sleeps 2 people. Among other things, it has laminated floors and a flat-screen TV.

The cheapest prices can be found during the South American summer, though the price is not much higher during other months.
Information & Tips for São Paulo
São Paulo is Brazil’s largest city, known for its vibrant cultural scene, including the São Paulo Museum of Art (MASP), Ibirapuera Park, and the historic downtown area. The currency is the Brazilian real (BRL), and credit cards are widely accepted. The price level can be high, especially in tourist areas, but there are budget-friendly options for food and accommodation. The weather is tropical, with warm, humid summers and mild winters. The best time to visit is typically during the dry season, from May to September, when temperatures are more moderate.

The Hotel
The Mercure Sao Paulo Jardins is a 4-star hotel and part of the Accor brand. It is located less than 15 minutes (walking) away from the São Paulo Museum of Art. The hotel has a fitness centre and also offers childcare.

Previous guests have left good reviews, many of them praising the very good location. Merely the elevators have received some criticism as they sometimes didn’t work or were smelly.
You’d be staying in the Cerqueira César neighbourhood (a quite popular location for tourists), meaning that there are plenty of restaurants and sights very close to the hotel, e.g. the Museu da Imagem e do Som de São Paulo (MIS) is less than a 25-minute walk away. The international airport (GRU) is merely a 30-minute drive away, which should only cost you roughly R$65 (~€10) if you call an Uber.
Price Check
Google states that the price is currently roughly 30% lower than usual. We can’t really confirm if that number is precisely correct as the hotel seems to have lowered its prices for the entire year and all OTAs have lowered their prices accordingly. Overall, however, considering the good reviews, very good location, the fact that the rate is refundable, and that a 4-star Mercure is not some unknown no-name hotel, the price seems very good.
