The Ship
The MSC Preziosa (Fantasia-class) was built at the Chantiers de l’Atlantique shipyard, launched in 2013, and renovated in 2016. It is 38 meters wide, 333 meters long, has 18 decks, and can accommodate nearly 3,500 passengers and 1,400 crew members.
The ship features 2 main restaurants and a buffet restaurant. The “Galaxy” restaurant, which comes at an additional cost, is highly recommended for its interesting Asian fusion cuisine. Here, you not only enjoy fantastic views of the ship and its surroundings but also great food. There are also 12 bars and lounges where you can enjoy beer, wine, cocktails, and, of course, soft drinks.
In addition to the spa and fitness area, as well as various cultural and leisure activities, there is also a waterslide (120 meters long).

A casino, cinema, basketball court, tennis court, outdoor jogging track, bowling alley, and four pools (one covered) offer a wide range of recreational activities.
The onboard language is English, and the currency on the ship is the Euro. Interestingly, the ship was originally ordered by the Libyan government but was later sold to MSC.
The cabins are at least 16 square meters in size and are equipped with a safe, air conditioning, telephone, television, and minibar.
London Airports ⇄ Southampton
Taxis in England are quite expensive, so buses are usually the most affordable option for transfers between London airports and Southampton. The long-distance bus provider National Express offers a direct route from Southampton to London. The journey takes about 2 hours, and tickets are available for around £15. Depending on the route, the total travel time with a transfer is 4-5 hours.
Alternatively, you can take the train to London. However, it’s advisable to book well in advance, as the price can quickly rise from £10 to up to £50. A taxi will cost you about €150 per ride if booked online.
