The cruise price includes full board in the main and buffet restaurants, gratuities, as well as coffee, water, tea, and iced tea during the buffet’s opening hours. Most onboard facilities and activities (e.g., use of sunbeds and pools on the outer deck, shows in the theatre, gym, etc.) are also included in the package.

Route

The ship departs from Oslo on the evening of Friday. You will then spend a full day at sea, giving you plenty of time to explore all the amenities the MSC Preziosa has to offer. On the morning of Sunday, you will arrive in Hamburg. Please note that while the official arrival time is 8:00, ships often dock earlier, around 6:00. This means the scenic passage through the Elbe estuary will likely take place during the night.

The Ship

The MSC Preziosa (Fantasia class) was built at the Chantiers de l’Atlantique shipyard, commissioned in 2013, and renovated in 2016. It is 333 meters long and 38 meters wide, with 18 decks for nearly 3,500 passengers and 1,400 crew members. The ship reaches a maximum speed of 24 knots. Fun fact: The ship was originally ordered by the Libyan government but was then sold to MSC.

For leisure and recreation, the ship offers a spa and fitness area, a 120-meter-long waterslide, a casino, a cinema, a basketball court, a tennis court, an outdoor jogging track, and a bowling alley. There are also four pools, one of which has a retractable roof, ensuring swimming is possible in any weather.

Dining options include two main restaurants and a buffet restaurant. For a special treat, the specialty restaurant “Galaxy” serves Asian fusion cuisine and offers fantastic views over the ship and its surroundings. Additionally, there are 12 different bars and lounges to enjoy a wide variety of drinks.

The onboard language is English, though on European routes, you will often find multilingual staff. The currency used on board is the Euro. Cabins are at least 16 square meters and come equipped with a safe, air conditioning, telephone, television, and a minibar.
