Important

Norwegian Cruise Line charges an automatic crew gratuity of US$20 (~€17) per person per day to your onboard account. If you do not agree with this, you can either adjust or remove this amount at the reception desk.

If you are looking for different dates or a slightly cheaper cruise in the same region, we also found this deal on the Carnival Firenze starting at €236 for interior cabins and €322 for exterior cabins, with six-day sailings between October 2025 and March 2026.

If you live in Europe, we recommend booking through Travel-Dealz, and if you live in the USA, book via CruiseDirect, as long as the price difference is not significant. If the difference is considerable, you can choose the cheaper option, but keep in mind that the consumer guarantees are different for Americans and Europeans.

Route

Your adventure begins in sunny San Diego. We recommend arriving a few days early to explore this vibrant Californian city at your own pace. Discover world-class attractions like the San Diego Zoo, relax on the shores of Mission Beach and La Jolla Cove, or step aboard the historic USS Midway Museum. In the afternoon, you’ll board the Norwegian Jade and set sail.

After two relaxing days at sea, you’ll arrive at your first port of call: Puerto Vallarta. Here, you can dive into water sports like snorkelling and scuba diving, take a thrilling trip into the jungle, or simply unwind on a palm-fringed beach. Next, the cruise continues to Mazatlán, where the historic old town beckons with its beautiful cathedral and the lively Plazuela Machado, filled with charming restaurants, cafés, and shops.

Your final stop is the stunning Cabo San Lucas, at the southern tip of the Baja California peninsula. Don’t miss the iconic El Arco, a magnificent rock formation that vanishes at high tide. Spend the day on a beautiful beach like Playa del Amor (Lover’s Beach) before your final sea day. After seven unforgettable nights, your cruise concludes back in San Diego.

Visa Info

Most Europeans need an electronic system for travel authorization (ESTA) to enter the USA for up to 90 days. This costs US$21 (~€19) and you should apply for it a couple of days before your trip, at the latest.

There are some cases where you cannot apply for an ESTA, e.g. if you’ve been to Cuba since 2021 or to Iran, Iraq, Syria, Sudan, or North Korea since March 2011. In those cases, you’ll need to get a visa from a US embassy or consulate, which can take multiple weeks.
