Oneworld Premium Economy to San Francisco & Los Angeles for €724 from Spain

Iberia Premium Economy

Oneworld airline Iberia is currently selling cheap premium economy tickets from Barcelona to California. You would fly non-stop to Los Angeles, from where you can continue to San Francisco with Alaska Airlines. Or you can simply stay in Los Angeles. There’s very high availability from January through April.

Update

You can also fly to San Jose now, for only €669!

Info

You have to be fully vaccinated for at least 14 days to enter the United States, with an approved vaccine, unless you are a US resident/citizen. You can read more about the entry requirements at the CDC.

Our calendar highlights all possible flight dates at the lowest fare for the previously mentioned routes – for a maximum trip length of 28 days:

Iberia flies to Los Angeles using an Airbus A330 and the flight takes roughly 13 hours. If you’re continuing to San Francisco, you’ll fly roughly one more hour onboard an Alaska Embraer 175, in economy class.

It is also possible to start your trip in other Spanish airports, such as Valencia, for a slightly higher price.

The fare rules sadly do not state an expiry date for this deal. Your stay has to last at least six days to get the lowest fare, or include a Sunday. Your flight has to take place during the following travel periods:

Outbound:

  • January 9 – March 29
  • April 11 – June 15

Inbound:

  • January 10 – April 1
  • April 11 – June 24

Our calendar above displays all available dates for trips of up to 28 days. For longer trips (or trips starting at other airports, such as Valencia), we recommend using Google Flights to find available dates. The flights can then be booked on Iberia’s website.

Mileage

The long-haul premium economy flight is issued in booking class T, while the Alaska economy class flights between Los Angeles and San Francisco are issued in booking class K. Flying to San Francisco (and back) should get you:

Information & Tips for USA

The United States offers a wide range of tourist sights, from national parks like Yellowstone and the Grand Canyon to cities such as New York, Los Angeles, and Washington, D.C. The currency is the U.S. dollar (USD), and card payments are widely accepted. Prices vary by region but can be high in major cities, especially for accommodation and dining. Weather differs greatly across the country—winters can be harsh in the north, while the south often stays mild; summers are generally hot and humid in many areas.

The U.S. transport infrastructure is highly car-dependent, especially outside major cities. Urban centres like New York, Chicago, and San Francisco have functional public transit, but many other cities have limited options. Between cities, domestic flights are common for long distances, while intercity buses and Amtrak trains cover some routes, though often with slower speeds and less frequency compared to other countries. Without a car, getting around can be inconvenient in many parts of the country.

    Thanks for that great deal.
If I am possessing a one world sapphire with the British airways executive club, do I have the possibility to change or transfer miles to Finnair and get a status without flying before?
Is the baggage now for free?

    Thank you,

Hi there! Thanks for your feedback, we’re happy that you liked this deal? As to your question about transferring miles: unfortunately, the answer is no. While there are (limited) options to transfer Avios between frequent flyer programs, there is no way you could use your tier miles to obtain status with another airline. If you’re an Executive Club Silver member, you should be able to benefit from the extra baggage allowance. Although this might not be available on British Airways’ ‘Hand Baggage Only/Basic’ fares.
