Dakhla, Western Sahara: Non-Stop Royal Air Maroc Flights from Paris for €159 (€208 with Luggage)

Porto Rico beach amazing place

Flights to Dakhla are quite expensive, usually coming with a price-tag of €400 and more. Those who don’t live far away from Paris-Orly can, however, get a trip with Oneworld member Royal Air Maroc for just €159. Flights are non-stop and availability is good from September through April 2025.

Update

Prices are slightly higher now than when we published this deal, but still at a very attractive level.

The fare includes hand luggage and food. If you need checked baggage, the corresponding fare (Eco Classic) costs €208 directly at the airline.

Dakhla is located on the coast of Western Sahara, but is claimed by Morocco and has been under the Moroccan administration for over 40 years. The beaches along the peninsula are ideal for wind and kite surfers, but the tourist sector is still relatively small in that region.

You can use the following form to make a booking. Select your preferred dates and then simply let your selection be forwarded to Skyscanner. From there, you can proceed to either the cheapest OTA or to Royal Air Maroc. We have marked available dates in green:

AT ORY VIL 159

Royal Air Maroc plans Boeing 737-700 or 737-800 aircraft for these flights. The legroom is a generous 81 centimeters. Sadly, the airline offers no personal in-flight-entertainment or power outlets on these planes.

Search & Book

The fare rules do not say how long the offer will remain valid. It is available for travel between September and December 2024. The minimum stay is 3 days or one Sunday. Since nonstop flights are only operated on Tuesdays, the actual minimum stay is one week.

You can find available dates very easily with the help of Google Flights (instructions) or our own calendar above. You can book the flights via Skyscanner or directly on the airline’s website for roughly €30 more.

Why is booking with an airline better than with an online travel agency?

More often than not, online travel agencies offer lower fares than airlines do. We still recommend booking with the airlines directly. There are two main reasons for that:

Better Customer Service
In case any problems like delays, cancellations or missed connections arise, you can communicate directly with the airline. The airline has to take care of you because you have a contract with them.

If a travel agency issues your ticket, you may have to reach out to them first. You also depend on your OTA to forward information like flight changes instead of receiving them directly from the airline. In many cases, you may get a prime exhibition of responsibility shifting rather than problem-solving.

This especially applies to premium tickets. You don’t want to spend more than €1,000 to wind up with some budget OTA’s telephone hotline in case anything goes wrong.

Baggage and Other Fees
Economy fares not including hold luggage are industry standard by now. In most cases, travel agencies charge much higher baggage fees than the airlines themselves. If bags are not included in your fare, airlines are often the cheaper alternative.

This also applies to other things like food services, insurances or priority treatment. In almost all cases, you pay less for additional amenities when booking on the airlines’ website.

Miles & Points

The booking class is P. The following credits are therefore possible:

Destination

Most EU citizens won’t need a visa to enter Morocco. Hotels in Dakhla usually cost roughly €85. Whichever category and hotel you opt for, make sure to get the best price! Our recommendation is to search on booking.com, or even on our own Travel-Dealz hotel search:

Royal Air Maroc has a decent business class with real business class seats. Consider this as your option to travel to Dakhla. I was just there in January and the place is amazing. Some nice resorts too! The cheapest oysters and lobster you can find. Great trips! Take a 4×4 or buy a guided tour.
