Bangkok: €295 Scoot Flights From Berlin (€433 With Luggage)

sukhumvit road downtown bangkok

Low-cost airline Scoot offers cheap flights from Berlin to Bangkok. The cheapest flights start at €293 when booking through the airline (€295 without a stopover in Athens). However, you should note that, as with almost all low-cost carriers, neither meals onboard nor checked baggage is included in the fare. In fact, the surcharge for luggage is quite outrageously high.

There is good availability in May and June, while August-October offers fewer dates.

Info

Worldwide travel restrictions are in place to slow the spread of Covid-19. We strongly recommend gathering detailed information about the travel and quarantine restrictions that apply to your desired origin and destination.

A good start is the International Air Transport Association (IATA) website. It provides current updates on a country’s immigration policies. Even better, the Covid-19 Travel Regulations Map is one of the most useful tools you can find.

Our calendar shows all available dates. Once you’ve selected your preferred route and dates, you can choose between two redirection options. ‘Search OTAs” will redirect you to Travel-Dealz flight search or you can book directly with Scoot.

Scoot offers flights from Berlin to Bangkok for under €300.

You can also book those flights as cheap one-way tickets. Depending on the direction, trips will cost somewhere between €170 and €200.

Flights between Berlin and Singapore are operated by Scoot’s Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner aircraft. You will need to stop in Singapore, although some itineraries include an additional stopover in Athens. Abandoning it is only a few euros more.

Search & Book

Availability seems to be best in May, while August-October offers fewer possibilities. There is no minimum stay, nor expiration date.

You can use Google Flights (instruction) to find all available dates and then get the cheapest price on our Travel Dealz flight search. On Google flights, you can set a filter for one stop if you wouldn’t like to stop in Athens. We recommend booking on Scoot’s website if you want to add meal or luggage options.

Luggage, service, food

Don’t forget: Scoot is a no-frills airline. Everything costs extra and doesn’t come cheap. Included is either a piece of hand luggage up to 10 kg and the dimensions 54 x 38 x 23 cm or a piece of hand luggage up to 7 kg + 3 kg laptop/handbag. However, the total weight must not exceed 10 kg. For an extra charge, you can add another 7 kilograms to your hand luggage. Otherwise, you have to pay for a piece of checked baggage.

Mileage

Depending on the routing and the fare, you may get some miles in Singapore Airlines’ KrisFlyer program. This is what you would get in class O without a stop in Athens:

Destination

In Bangkok, hotels are generally cheap. However, to find a good hotel for a good price we suggest using our Go2 form. Once selecting your dates, it will redirect you to either Booking.com or Travel-Dealz hotel search where you can compare prices.

Information & Tips for Bangkok

Bangkok is known for its vibrant street life, cultural landmarks, and bustling markets. Key sights include the Grand Palace, Wat Pho, and the lively Khao San Road. The local currency is the Thai baht (THB), and while credit cards are widely accepted in hotels and large stores, cash is preferred for smaller vendors. The city is relatively affordable, with street food and public transport offering great value. Bangkok has a tropical climate, with hot and humid weather year-round, a rainy season from May to October, and cooler, more comfortable temperatures from November to February.
