USA: €350 Delta Flights from Stockholm (€442 with Luggage)

Trump Tower New York

SkyTeam airline Delta is selling tickets for its non-stop flight from Stockholm to New York for only €350 (~SEK 3,866). However, you can also fly on to a different US city, often for an only slightly higher price, e.g. €358 (~SEK 3,954) all the way to San Diego. The prices only include a carry-on bag, but if you book on KLM, a checked bag only adds about €92 (~SEK 1,016) to the total price.

Our availability calendar highlights all possible flight dates for flights to New York, San Diego, Charlotte, Nashville, and Pittsburgh. Simply select your preferred destination and dates, and it will forward you to KLM’s booking site with your preselected flight dates.

You can fly almost anywhere in the USA. Here are some highlights:

Delta uses a Boeing 767 for its flights between New York and Scandinavia. You’ll be served free meals and drinks on all transatlantic flights.

By the way, flying to New York is even cheaper from Copenhagen, costing only €328 (~DKK 2,448).

The deal expires on June 18, 2023. There is a minimum stay of 6 days or a Saturday night and a maximum stay of three months. These tickets are non-refundable, but can be rebooked – though you’ll have to pay €150 + the price difference.

You can find flights on Google Flights (instructions). Our availability calendar above will forward you to KLM’s website as booking on KLM’s website comes with fewer restrictions than when you book on Delta’s wesbsite (e.g. you’ll earn miles on Delta SkyMiles and can select your seat for free).

Information & Tips for USA

The United States offers a wide range of tourist sights, from national parks like Yellowstone and the Grand Canyon to cities such as New York, Los Angeles, and Washington, D.C. The currency is the U.S. dollar (USD), and card payments are widely accepted. Prices vary by region but can be high in major cities, especially for accommodation and dining. Weather differs greatly across the country—winters can be harsh in the north, while the south often stays mild; summers are generally hot and humid in many areas.

The U.S. transport infrastructure is highly car-dependent, especially outside major cities. Urban centres like New York, Chicago, and San Francisco have functional public transit, but many other cities have limited options. Between cities, domestic flights are common for long distances, while intercity buses and Amtrak trains cover some routes, though often with slower speeds and less frequency compared to other countries. Without a car, getting around can be inconvenient in many parts of the country.
