Flights between Bucharest and Shanghai are operated with a layover in Istanbul. Interestingly, Turkish Airlines often uses long-haul aircraft like the Boeing 787 or Airbus A330 on the short leg to Istanbul, giving you an early taste of the lie-flat business class. The long-haul flight to Shanghai is on either a Boeing 777 (2-3-2 configuration) or an Airbus A350 (1-2-1 configuration) – the latter is clearly preferable.
