Star Alliance member Turkish Airlines is offering a business class deal from Sharm El Sheikh and Hurghada to Hong Kong starting at just €1,044. This deal includes 2x32kg checked luggage plus all the business class perks. The only caveat is that you need one overnight stay from Sharm El Sheikh and two from Hurghada to get the best price. Departures are available between November 2024 to March 2025 from Sharm El Sheikh and between August 2024 to June 2025 from Hurghada.
Citizens of the European Union need a visa to enter Egypt. This can be obtained in advance or on arrival for a fee of approximately €30. More information is available from your home country’s foreign ministry or embassy. There is also a “Sinai Only” visa, which limits the stay in Egypt to 15 days and a few specific locations.
A fee of US$65 (~€55) will be charged to rebook your ticket. In addition, you must pay the fare difference between the old and new flight prices. Cancellation is also possible for US$130 (~€111)
Egyptian law requires charter flights to and from other countries to be booked as a round-trip package, including both inbound and outbound flights. Passengers attempting to board a charter flight with only a departure booking have been denied boarding in some cases, particularly if they arrived on a scheduled airline or have stayed in Egypt for over a month. To avoid potential issues at the airport, always book round-trip charter flights.
Our availability calendar highlights the cheapest flight options for trips up to 28 days. Simply select your desired travel dates, and you’ll be redirected to either Turkish Airlines or Skyscanner. On Skyscanner, you can compare prices from various online travel agencies (OTAs), which offer tickets up to €50 cheaper.

Flights between Egypt and the Istanbul hub are operated by Airbus A321neo aircraft. The business class cabin features 20 seats in a 2-2 configuration. While these seats can be reclined, they do not offer a lie-flat option.
From Istanbul to Hong Kong, the flights are operated by Boeing 777-300ER aircraft. These feature a business class cabin with 49 seats arranged in a 2-3-2 configuration. All seats convert into fully flat beds that are approximately 1.98 meters (6.5 feet) long.
The total journey time is approximately 23 hours for the outbound flight and just under 18 hours for the return flight from Hong Kong to Sharm el Sheikh. If you fly from Hurghada, you will need to have two overnight stays in Istanbul.
You can take advantage of the free hotel stopover in Istanbul from Turkish Airlines with this deal if your connection period is longer than 20 hours.
Search & Book
This deal does not have an expiration date, but a maximum stay of twelve months applies. Departures are available between November 2024 to March 2025 from Sharm El Sheikh and between August 2024 to June 2025 from Hurghada.
You can find suitable dates using our calendar above or with the help of Google Flights. We recommend booking directly on Turkish Airlines’ website, but you can find cheaper prices with Skyscanner. However, booking on OTAs has its downsides.
Why is booking with an airline better than with an online travel agency?
More often than not, online travel agencies offer lower fares than airlines do. We still recommend booking with the airlines directly. There are two main reasons for that:
Better Customer Service
In case any problems like delays, cancellations or missed connections arise, you can communicate directly with the airline. The airline has to take care of you because you have a contract with them.
If a travel agency issues your ticket, you may have to reach out to them first. You also depend on your OTA to forward information like flight changes instead of receiving them directly from the airline. In many cases, you may get a prime exhibition of responsibility shifting rather than problem-solving.
This especially applies to premium tickets. You don’t want to spend more than €1,000 to wind up with some budget OTA’s telephone hotline in case anything goes wrong.
Baggage and Other Fees
Economy fares not including hold luggage are industry standard by now. In most cases, travel agencies charge much higher baggage fees than the airlines themselves. If bags are not included in your fare, airlines are often the cheaper alternative.
This also applies to other things like food services, insurances or priority treatment. In almost all cases, you pay less for additional amenities when booking on the airlines’ website.

Information & Tips for Hong Kong
Hong Kong is known for its skyline, Victoria Peak, harbour views, and a mix of modern and traditional sights like temples and street markets. The local currency is the Hong Kong dollar (HKD), and credit cards are widely accepted, though cash is still useful in smaller shops and markets. Prices are relatively high compared to much of Asia, especially for accommodation and dining. The weather is hot and humid in summer, with a cooler, more pleasant season from October to March. Typhoons can occur between June and October.
