SkyTeam member Vietnam Airlines offers discounted economy flights from Paris to Thailand’s capital Bangkok. Tickets including a checked bag of 23 kg are available for just €483 via online travel agencies or €503 on the airline’s website. A change of planes in either Hanoi or Ho-Chi-Minh-City is necessary both ways.
Prices go as low as €470 if you are willing to accept 6+ hour layovers both ways.
Our availability calendar highlights all possible flight dates at the lowest price for trips up to 28 days. It will forward you to Vietnam with your selected flight dates. You can also check what OTAs on Skyscanner have to offer, as they sell these tickets up to €20 cheaper.

A Vietnam Airlines Boeing 787 or Airbus A350 takes you from Paris to Hanoi or Saigon. Both planes feature a 3-3-3 seating pattern in economy. An Airbus A321 will take you to your final destination, Bangkok.
From personal experience, I’d recommend a routing via Hanoi, since the international terminal of Noi Bai airport is more modern than its counterpart in southern Vietnam.
While the most direct route traverses Russian airspace, Vietnam Airlines chooses are more Southern route to take you to your destination.
Search & Book
According to the fare rules, these tickets are on sale until February 11, 2024, but may sell out earlier. A minimum stay of at least three days is necessary to get the cheapest tickets. Google Flights indicates availability in May and June 2024.
Finding these tickets might be a bit difficult, since Google Flights displays inaccurate prices. For starters, Vietnam Airlines sells most tickets €120 cheaper on their website than displayed on Google, so you have to search for €630 dates.
Not all €627 Google dates translate to €500 tickets on Vietnam Airlines’ website. But in most cases, either the in- or outbound is available at the lowest fare. You can easily select alternate dates using Vietnam Airlines’ preview after using our availability calendar above.

While OTAs on Skyscanner sell the tickets at a cheaper price, they are also more difficult to find. There are more reasons to purchase your tickets directly from Vietnam Airlines.

Information & Tips for Thailand
Thailand is famous for its vibrant cities, beautiful beaches, and rich cultural heritage. Key sights include the Grand Palace and Wat Pho in Bangkok, the ancient city of Ayutthaya, and the islands of Phuket and Koh Samui. The currency is the Thai baht (THB), and while credit cards are commonly accepted in tourist areas, cash is often preferred in local markets. The cost of living is generally low, with budget accommodations and street food available, but prices can rise in more touristy areas. The weather is tropical, with a hot, rainy season from May to October and a cooler, dry season from November to February.
Getting around Thailand is fairly easy, with a mix of modern and traditional options. In cities like Bangkok, public transport includes the Skytrain (BTS), metro (MRT), and river ferries, which are convenient but can get crowded. Taxis and motorbike taxis are also widely available. For intercity travel, buses and trains are common and affordable, though train journeys can be slow. Domestic flights are frequent and often the fastest way to travel longer distances, especially to popular islands or northern regions. However, traffic congestion in urban areas can be a challenge, particularly during rush hours.

well i ts only euros less than a direct flight from cdg with air france or klm not that great saving with all the times spent on transiting
Hi Roland! The main difference is that checked bags are included in this ticket, while they add another €100 when travelling with Air France. Sadly, this deal is now expired anyway.
