Flights between Paris and Vietnam are operated by Vietnam Airlines using A350-900 planes. These feature a 2-4-2 seating arrangement in premium economy. Both the hard and soft products are middle-of-the-pack offerings compared to international airlines. Some routes also offer Air France’s service between Ho Chi Minh City and Paris, using a Boeing 777-200.

A Vietnam Airlines Airbus A321 takes you from Vietnam to Singapore. These feature comfy seats in a 3-3 seating pattern, but no seat back in-flight-entertainment.

Connecting in Ho Chi Minh City gives you the advantage of less time in an economy seat, while the international terminal in Hanoi offers more modern amenities.

Visa Info

Most European citizens can enter Singapore up to 90 days without applying for a visa.

Search & Book

The fare rules do not state how long this fare will remain valid. A minimum stay of three nights is required to obtain the cheapest fare, and the ticket must be booked 120 days in advance. Availability starts in October 2025 and continues until August 2026.

Google Flights does not preview prices for these flights accurately, as most fares are displayed €800 more expensive. Because of that, the ITA Matrix is your best bet to find suitable flight dates. We recommend following this link to start the search. After the page options, add the routing code C: VN+ so you only see Vietnam Airlines flights. The extension code f bc=u ensures only tickets in premium economy are displayed. Before hitting the Search button, select the calendar of lowest fares.

After retrieving flight dates, you can enter them on Vietnam Airlines’ website to buy tickets. You can also fire up metasearch engines like Skyscanner.

Why is booking with an airline better than with an online travel agency?

More often than not, online travel agencies offer lower fares than airlines do. We still recommend booking with the airlines directly. There are two main reasons for that:

Better Customer Service
In case any problems like delays, cancellations or missed connections arise, you can communicate directly with the airline. The airline has to take care of you because you have a contract with them.

If a travel agency issues your ticket, you may have to reach out to them first. You also depend on your OTA to forward information like flight changes instead of receiving them directly from the airline. In many cases, you may get a prime exhibition of responsibility shifting rather than problem-solving.

This especially applies to premium tickets. You don’t want to spend more than €1,000 to wind up with some budget OTA’s telephone hotline in case anything goes wrong.

Baggage and Other Fees
Economy fares not including hold luggage are industry standard by now. In most cases, travel agencies charge much higher baggage fees than the airlines themselves. If bags are not included in your fare, airlines are often the cheaper alternative.

This also applies to other things like food services, insurances or priority treatment. In almost all cases, you pay less for additional amenities when booking on the airlines’ website.
