Vietnam Airlines Lotusmiles Status Match, Starting at $129 (From Airline & Hotel Programs)

Vietnam Airlines

Vietnam Airlines‘ frequent flyer program is currently offering a paid status match for all tiers of the Lotusmiles program. Prices start at US$129 (~€111) for Titanium status, while a Platinum match costs US$359 (~€309).

To secure this status match, you’ll need a corresponding status level in a different program. For instance, British Airways Executive Club Silver can be matched to Titanium at Lotusmiles (SkyTeam Elite), while the Senator status at Miles&More is being rewarded with Platinum (SkyTeam Elite Plus).

Info

US$359 (~€309) is a hefty price tag for SkyTeam Elite Plus tier, as we have seen cheaper or even free status matches recently. If you are not interested in getting the status immediately, it might be a good idea to wait for a better offer.

Instructions

Go to vietnamairlines.statusmatch.com and enter your name, e-mail address and Lotusmiles membership number. If you don’t have a Lotusmiles account, you need to sign up for the program first.

If the data matches your account and your country of residency is eligible for the match, you can select the status you want to match. There is a drop-down menu that you can choose from. If your status is not part of that list, Lotusmiles won’t match it.

The next step requires you to upload photographic proof of your current status. A photo of a physical card or a screenshot showing your name, number and status will do the trick.

The following and last step is the payment page. Lotusmiles displays which status you’ll achieve with the match and presents you the bill. You can pay by all common credit cards.
