The SkyTeam partner Delta, KLM, and Air France are selling discounted tickets to various cities in the USA. With a departure from Brussels, round-trips are available at prices starting around €246. The cheapest flights will get you to New York, but you can also fly to the west coast for a little more.
Even if atrip to New York is never a bad idea, we think that other destinations included in this deal are even more interesting:
The availability is very good as of now. Like with most cheap trips from Europe to the USA, the down downside is that you can’t check-in any bags. Doing so will increase the price by about €100 per return-flight.
The flights to New York are mostly nonstop connections. All other routes include at least one layover. This could be in Amsterdam or – more likely – in one of Delta’s hubs in the USA.
Search & Book
Tickets for this deal have to be issued until November 23rd. But with prices this low we don’t think that the offer will be around for such a long time. It’s valid for trips commencing between November 1st and March 31st, 2020.
The minimum stay requirements are 6 days or at least one night from Saturday to Sunday. You could stay in the USA for up to three months. But don’t forget that your ESTA will only be valid for 90 days!
Google Flights (instructions) will display all discounted flights and prices correctly. Choose dates that suit you best before booking on the carrier’s website. You can also use our Travel Dealz flight search if you want to compare prices that OTAs offer.
Mileage
Tickets will often be issued in booking class V. The earning rate here will be somewhere between 20% and 25% on most SkyTeam frequent flyer programs.
Information & Tips for USA
The United States offers a wide range of tourist sights, from national parks like Yellowstone and the Grand Canyon to cities such as New York, Los Angeles, and Washington, D.C. The currency is the U.S. dollar (USD), and card payments are widely accepted. Prices vary by region but can be high in major cities, especially for accommodation and dining. Weather differs greatly across the country—winters can be harsh in the north, while the south often stays mild; summers are generally hot and humid in many areas.
The U.S. transport infrastructure is highly car-dependent, especially outside major cities. Urban centres like New York, Chicago, and San Francisco have functional public transit, but many other cities have limited options. Between cities, domestic flights are common for long distances, while intercity buses and Amtrak trains cover some routes, though often with slower speeds and less frequency compared to other countries. Without a car, getting around can be inconvenient in many parts of the country.
