SkyTeam member KLM is currently offering business class flights to Phuket in Thailand at a cheap price. Departing from Amsterdam from January until May 2021, you can fly to the south of the country for prices starting at €1,366. You’ll have one layover in each direction.
Worldwide travel restrictions are in place to slow the spread of Covid-19. We strongly recommend gathering detailed information about the travel and quarantine restrictions that apply to your desired origin and destination.
A good start is the International Air Transport Association (IATA) website. It provides current updates on a country’s immigration policies. Even better, the Covid-19 Travel Regulations Map is one of the most useful tools you can find.
You’ll always either have a layover in Bangkok or in Kuala Lumpur. Your connecting flight will be operated by Bangkok Airways or Malaysia Airlines. Sadly, that short connecting flight is often in economy class (especially when flying via Bangkok) but at least that flight is merely an hour long.
How to get to Amsterdam
Schiphol International Airport, located in Amsterdam is the largest airport in the Netherlands. With over 50 million passengers a year, it is the fourth largest airport in Europe and KLM’s home base.
Amsterdam is easy to reach by car from the Benelux countries as well as from Denmark. Alternatively, you can also travel to Amsterdam with Flixbus.

Information & Tips for Phuket
Phuket is famous for its stunning beaches, vibrant nightlife in Patong, cultural sights like the Big Buddha, and nearby islands such as Phi Phi and Phang Nga Bay. The local currency is the Thai baht (THB), and credit cards are widely accepted in tourist areas. Prices in Phuket can vary; luxury resorts and fine dining can be expensive, but there are plenty of affordable options for food and accommodation, especially outside the main tourist hubs. The weather is tropical, with a hot, humid climate year-round, and the best time to visit is during the dry season from November to March.
