Brazil: Rio de Janeiro & Salvador at €373 from Milan w/ LATAM (Checked Bags Add €90)

South American airline behemoth LATAM offers great fares to Brazilian cities Rio de Janeiro and Salvador da Bahia with departure from Milan. Prices start at €373, a fare that includes full catering on board, but no checked bags. These come with the price of €90 on LATAM’s website. A change of planes in São Paulo is necessary both ways.

Due to the late arrival of the Milan to São Paulo flight in Brazil, Rio and Salvador are among the few cities you can connect to without an overnight layover. Others are Brasília, Curitiba and Recife, which are available for just above €400.

LATAM’s current flight plan sees a Boeing 777 operating the long-haul segments between Milan and São Paulo. These aircraft feature a 3-4-3 with personal on-demand entertainment in their economy section. A smaller Airbus A320 family plane will take you onwards to your final destination.

Flights to Rio de Janeiro arrive at Santos Dumont airport, which is located very close to the city and famous for its spectacular approach.

According to the fare rules, these tickets are on sale until February 20, 2022 for travel between January 15 and September 30, 2022. The minimum stay requirement in one night from Saturday to Sunday. Availability is very good until mid-June, later flight dates are not available.

More often than not, online travel agencies offer lower fares than airlines do. We still recommend booking with the airlines directly. There are two main reasons for that:

Better Customer Service
In case any problems like delays, cancellations or missed connections arise, you can communicate directly with the airline. The airline has to take care of you because you have a contract with them.

If a travel agency issues your ticket, you may have to reach out to them first.
