If one is looking for a status match for the Oneworld alliance, Royal Jordanian’s match has been going on for quite a long time. However, that match offers max. Sapphire status. Now Royal Air Maroc has also started a status match, and while it’s expensive and not so attractive, it does offer the possibility to match to Emerald status for certain frequent flyers! After the match, the status is valid until December 31, 2026.

Unfortunately, a “processing fee” has to be paid to the operator of the StatusMatch.com platform:
- Safar Flyer Platinum (Oneworld Emerald): US$749 (~€646)
- Safar Flyer Gold (Oneworld Sapphire): US$349 (~€301)
(not attractive, only costs $149 at Royal Jordanian) - Safar Flyer Silber (Oneworld Ruby): US$149 (~€128)
(not attractive, only costs $49 at Royal Jordanian)
Editor’s Note: A match to Emerald status is very rare. However, you should do some thourough number crunching, if you’ll recoup the insane fee of $749 by using the benefits of the status for a year.
