There are very few interesting youth fares at airlines. It is good news that Aegean is now offering attractive benefits for young people between the ages of 18 and 25:
As part of Aegean genAIRation you will receive a 15% discount on every flight (excl. taxes and fees), you can take 23 kg of luggage with you free of charge on up to two round trips per year, and you have free internet on board. We have summarized the full benefits in detail below. You also get a one-time 50% discount coupon for the next flight booking when signing up.
Requirements
In order to get the benefits, one must follow the following steps:
- If you haven’t already done so, create an Aegean account.
- Join Aegean genAIRation.
- Verify your age with a photo of your passport or ID card. The verification usually works very quickly.
All Benefits
You have the following advantages with genAIRation:
- 15% basic discount (excl. taxes & fees) on all flights in the route network of Aegean and Olympic Air
- 2 vouchers per year for 23 kg luggage (one voucher corresponds to a round trip)
- Free WiFi on board your flights (if available on the plane)
- 50% discount voucher for bringing a pet
- 50% more Miles+Bonus miles on flights to your favorite destination (from the 3rd flight, favorite destination must be specified)
- Better rebooking rules (e.g. €40 instead of €60 rebooking fee plus price difference in the Light fare)

When you register for “genAIRation” for the first time, you will also receive a 50% discount coupon for your next flight booking. You can redeem it up to 6 months after registration (also for later flights) and it applies in addition to the 15% basic discount (i.e. a total of 65% discount), but of course excluding taxes and fees.

To give you an example, we selected a flight from Hamburg to Jeddah for €215. With the 15% basic discount, however, only around €203 is due:
However, the 15% discount does not apply to airport taxes. Therefore, the actual discount in reality here is only around 6%. This value differs for each booking depending on the ratio of ticket price and taxes & fees.
With the 50% coupon from the registration bonus, only €168 would be due for the flight. Not bad.
Explore Aegean’s Network
Aegean Airlines is the largest Greek airline. It operates mainly out of Athens’s Eleftherios Venizelos Airport (ATH). In addition, the carrier also operates a bunch of nonstop connections from European airports to Thessaloniki (SKG).
