Miami & Chicago: €328 British Airways Flights from Dublin (€428 with Luggage)

Miami Ocean Buildings

Oneworld member British Airways is selling cheap tickets from Dublin to Miami and Chicago. These flights cost €328 if British Airways’ generous hand luggage allowance (you can bring up to 23 kg of hand luggage, but good luck fitting that much weight in your carry-on) is enough for you, and €428 if you want to travel with checked baggage. It’s also possible to fly with American Airlines (with free luggage for Oneworld status holders).

Our calendar displays all available dates for trips of up to 28 days for both routes. You can either be redirected to British Airways or American Airlines, depending on which airline you prefer to fly with:

From Dublin, you’ll first fly to London onboard an Airbus A320neo. Then, British Airways will use an Airbus A380 for its flight to Miami. If you’re flying to Chicago, you’ll either be seated in a British Airways Boeing 777 or Airbus A350.

It is also possible to fly with other Oneworld partners, such as American Airlines (either via London or Philadelphia, and sometimes even non-stop) and Iberia (via Madrid). This is a good option for Oneworld frequent flyers, as those 2 airlines offer free checked baggage to status holders. For status-less people, however, British Airways should be a better choice than Iberia, as their hand luggage allowance is more generous: a carry-on and a small bag, both weighing up to 23 kg.

Information & Tips for USA

The United States offers a wide range of tourist sights, from national parks like Yellowstone and the Grand Canyon to cities such as New York, Los Angeles, and Washington, D.C. The currency is the U.S. dollar (USD), and card payments are widely accepted. Prices vary by region but can be high in major cities, especially for accommodation and dining. Weather differs greatly across the country—winters can be harsh in the north, while the south often stays mild; summers are generally hot and humid in many areas.

The U.S. transport infrastructure is highly car-dependent, especially outside major cities. Urban centres like New York, Chicago, and San Francisco have functional public transit, but many other cities have limited options. Between cities, domestic flights are common for long distances, while intercity buses and Amtrak trains cover some routes, though often with slower speeds and less frequency compared to other countries. Without a car, getting around can be inconvenient in many parts of the country.
