Emirates: Single-stop flights from London to several cities in Australia for only 712€ (£610)

Australia

The largest UAE national carrier, Emirates, is selling reasonably priced tickets for flights from London Gatwick to several cities in Australia. Admittedly, 712€ for a rountrip might not be the lowest fare that we’ve ever presented to you for a trip to Down-Under. But the fact that you’ll only have one stop on your way makes this deal very interesting. Also, one piece of checked luggage is included.

No matter which city you prefer, you will always have a short layover in Dubai before Emirates will bring you to your final destination. In most cases, Emirates will operate the Airbus A380 on all flights making this a great chance to be on board of the largest passenger aircraft before it’s being phased out.

Search & Book

According to the fare rules, this offer will be available until April 18th for flights within the following travel periods:

  • April 7th through July 11th and
  • August 11th through December 7th

You have to wait for at least 3 days before returning to Europe and can’t stay in Australia for longer than 12 months if you want to get this deal.

Availability is good for most routes. We recommend using Google Flights (instructions) to find the dates that suit you best. Then you can book your tickets directly on Emirates’ website or use our Travel Dealz flight search tool to get an even better price.

Mileage

All tickets will be issued in booking class T. Since this is the lowest Economy Class fare, you can’t hope for too many miles. With Emirates frequent flyer program Skywards you should see a plus of around 3.000 miles (depending on your destination and tier, of course) on your account. Partner programs will reward you with 50% of the actual miles flown.

Information & Tips for United Arab Emirates

The United Arab Emirates is known for modern landmarks like the Burj Khalifa in Dubai, the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi, and desert landscapes accessible from both cities. The currency is the UAE dirham (AED), and credit cards are widely accepted. Prices can vary—luxury experiences are expensive, but there are also mid-range and budget-friendly options, especially for food and transport. The weather is extremely hot from May to September, while the cooler months from November to March are more comfortable for travel.

The UAE has a modern transport infrastructure, especially in cities like Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Dubai’s metro is efficient and covers major areas, while buses and taxis are widely available in most cities. Ride-hailing apps are common and reliable. Between cities, intercity buses are affordable and frequent, and highways are in good condition, making driving an option. However, public transport can be limited outside major urban areas, so getting around without a car may require more planning.
