Qatar Airways has been awarded “5 Star Airline” for several times already. But that’s only one reason why this offer is especially attractive. The second one is the excellent price: fly to exotic Zanzibar for prices starting at only €389 when departing from Venice.
This deal still shows good availability, but connections over Xmas seem to run out of cheap seats. So if you’re planning on visiting a gorgeous sun destination during the holidays – better act fast!
Just like we’d expect from the national carrier of Qatar, low prices are no reason to pack light. 30 kg of checked luggage is already included in the fare.
As always, Qatar Airways will first fly you to its hub in Doha, where you will change plans and continue your journey to the island just off the coast of Tanzania. The carrier will be operating various aircraft, including an Airbus A330 and a Boeing 787.

Qatar seems to be planning on selling tickets until July 31st. But honestly: we don’t think this deal will be around for so long. Prices that low combined with the excellent destination and travel periods will most likely be sold out soon.
The first international flight sector is limited to the time period between August 19th and December 20th, 2019. We haven’t been able to find flights before October. Minimum stay requirements are 7 days, and you can spend up to one month in Zanzibar if there are connections that allow for such an extended vacation.
Google Flights (instructions) will help you find all the available connections. It is your choice if you’d instead take your preferred dates to Skyscanner and compare all the prices that OTAs offer. Or if you want to book directly on the carrier’s website. The latter will result in prices that are approximately €50 higher then what we are promoting here.
All tickets will be issue in booking class W. While not fascinating, this will still get you an earning rate of 25% with most Oneworld frequent flyer programs. Here’s what you can await from this trip:

Information & Tips for Zanzibar
Zanzibar, an island off the coast of Tanzania, is known for its historic Stone Town, spice farms, and white-sand beaches like those in Nungwi and Kendwa. The local currency is the Tanzanian shilling, though US dollars are widely accepted in tourist areas. Prices range from budget to mid-range, with meals and accommodations generally more affordable than in Western countries. The weather is tropical, with hot, humid conditions year-round; the driest months—and most popular for travel—are June to October.
Getting around Zanzibar can be a bit inconsistent. Within Stone Town, most places are walkable, but the narrow, winding streets can be confusing. For longer distances, dala-dalas (shared minibuses) are cheap but often crowded and unreliable. Taxis and private drivers are more comfortable but relatively expensive. Roads outside the main areas can be rough, and signage is limited, so renting a car is only recommended if you’re confident navigating on your own.
