Los Angeles, San Francisco, Miami, New York, Toronto & More: €552 SAS Premium Economy from Scandinavia

SAS plus

SkyTeam member SAS Scandinavian Airlines‘ sales currently pop-up more often than the common cold. The airline is (once again, but for the first time in October) offering a premium economy deal from Sweden, Denmark and Norway to the USA and Toronto, starting at €552 (~NOK 6,415) from Oslo to Chicago. This fare includes 2×23 kg of checked luggage. Departures are available from December 2025 through March 2026.

In contrast to past sales, Boston and Seattle are missing as discounted destinations.

Flights are available for these prices from Sweden’s and Norway’s capital:

There are also some decent prices from Copenhagen, with non-stop flights:

Flights from other airports in those countries like Bergen, Billund, Gothenburg, Trondheim and more are available for roughly the same prices.

Our availability calendar highlights all flights at the lowest fare for non-stops from Copenhagen, for trips up to 28 days. Availability from other origins is roughly the same. We will forward you to SAS or Skyscanner with your selected flight dates. There you can check what OTAs are offering, with prices up to €25 cheaper.

Your feeder flight will be with a SAS Airbus A320 family on most destinations with a 3-3 configuration, and your flight for your transatlantic flight SAS operates Airbus A321 (2-2 seating in premium economy), Airbus A330 (2-3-2) and Airbus A350 (2-4-2) on their transatlantic routes. In most cases, you will cross the pond in an Airbus A330 both ways.

Visa Info

Most Europeans need an electronic system for travel authorization (ESTA) to enter the USA for up to 90 days. This costs US$21 (~€19) and you should apply for it a couple of days before your trip, at the latest.

There are some cases where you cannot apply for an ESTA, e.g. if you’ve been to Cuba since 2021 or to Iran, Iraq, Syria, Sudan, or North Korea since March 2011. In those cases, you’ll need to get a visa from a US embassy or consulate, which can take multiple weeks.

Search & Book

This deal will expire on October 8, 2025. A minimum stay of six days or a Saturday overnight stay applies. Departures at the lowest fare are available from December 2025 through March 2026, though it depends on the destination.

We recommend Google Flights to find the best dates; however, the tool does not preview all dates correctly, so you might need to invest more time than usual. Especially to Los Angeles and San Francisco, prices in the preview calendar are much higher than after choosing dates. We recommend booking directly on SAS’s website.

Information & Tips for USA

The United States offers a wide range of tourist sights, from national parks like Yellowstone and the Grand Canyon to cities such as New York, Los Angeles, and Washington, D.C. The currency is the U.S. dollar (USD), and card payments are widely accepted. Prices vary by region but can be high in major cities, especially for accommodation and dining. Weather differs greatly across the country—winters can be harsh in the north, while the south often stays mild; summers are generally hot and humid in many areas.

The U.S. transport infrastructure is highly car-dependent, especially outside major cities. Urban centres like New York, Chicago, and San Francisco have functional public transit, but many other cities have limited options. Between cities, domestic flights are common for long distances, while intercity buses and Amtrak trains cover some routes, though often with slower speeds and less frequency compared to other countries. Without a car, getting around can be inconvenient in many parts of the country.

Information & Tips for Toronto

Toronto is known for its iconic CN Tower, diverse neighbourhoods like Kensington Market, and attractions such as the Royal Ontario Museum and nearby Niagara Falls. The currency is the Canadian dollar (CAD), and credit cards are widely accepted. The price level can be high, especially in terms of accommodation and dining in central areas, but there are budget options available. Toronto experiences cold winters with snow and mild, humid summers, making the best times to visit spring and fall when temperatures are more moderate.
