South Korea & Japan: Etihad Business Class Starting at €1,944 from Five European Cities (w/o Lounge Access)

Etihad business window seat

Etihad Airways is offering a business class deal from Europe to Japan & Seoul, starting at just €1,944. This deal includes 35 kg of checked luggage. If you want lounge access, you will have to upgrade from Business Value to Business Comfort for an additional €150, where you will receive lounge access, double miles, and an extra 5 kg of checked luggage. Departures are scattered between June 2025 and May 2026.

The lowest fares are limited to distinct routes. For example, you can find these prices to Seoul:

Tickets to Osaka come with the following price-tag:

And if you want to fly to Tokyo, we found this offer:

Our availability calendar highlights all possible flight dates at the lowest price for trips of up to 28 days. It will forward you to Etihad or Skyscanner with your selected flight dates for less than €2,000. On Skyscanner, you can check what OTAs have to offer, as they sell these tickets for up to €50 cheaper, except for Dublin, where prices can be up to €250 cheaper. We recommend you book with Etihad from all airports except for the Irish capital.

All flights have a layover in Abu Dhabi. While the exact plane used from Europe to Abu Dhabi varies, your second leg to Asia will be operated with a Boeing 787 to Osaka and Seoul, and an Airbus A350 to Tokyo Narita.

Etihad has a good business class, which offers direct access to the aisle for all seats. Additionally, the food & drinks, as well as the service are hard to beat. The biggest weaknesses are its average entertainment program (which is becoming less important in the age of tablets and notebooks). Issues like the airline’s overpriced internet service and subpar business class lounge in Abu Dhabi are things of the past, as Etihad now offers better value packages and operates from a new terminal at its hub.

This deal doesn’t have an expiration date. A minimum stay of two days and a maximum stay of four months applies. Departures are scattered between June 2025 and May 2026.

You can find suitable dates using our calendar above or with the help of Google Flights. We recommend booking directly on Etihad’s website, but you can find cheaper prices with Skyscanner in the case of Dublin, with savings of up to €250. However, booking through OTAs has its downsides.

Why is booking with an airline better than with an online travel agency?

More often than not, online travel agencies offer lower fares than airlines do. We still recommend booking with the airlines directly. There are two main reasons for that:

Better Customer Service
In case any problems like delays, cancellations or missed connections arise, you can communicate directly with the airline. The airline has to take care of you because you have a contract with them.

If a travel agency issues your ticket, you may have to reach out to them first. You also depend on your OTA to forward information like flight changes instead of receiving them directly from the airline. In many cases, you may get a prime exhibition of responsibility shifting rather than problem-solving.

This especially applies to premium tickets. You don’t want to spend more than €1,000 to wind up with some budget OTA’s telephone hotline in case anything goes wrong.

Baggage and Other Fees
Economy fares not including hold luggage are industry standard by now. In most cases, travel agencies charge much higher baggage fees than the airlines themselves. If bags are not included in your fare, airlines are often the cheaper alternative.

This also applies to other things like food services, insurances or priority treatment. In almost all cases, you pay less for additional amenities when booking on the airlines’ website.

Multi City

This fare allows you to book a Multi-City flight, entering through Tokyo and returning through Osaka, or vice versa. Booking this combination may take a bit of trial and error, but with a few minutes of effort, you should be able to book this multi-city ticket for €2,320 on Etihad’s website. You can use their flexible dates calendar to find the best fares and Google Flights.
