The Route
The cruise begins in Seward, around 125 miles south of Anchorage. First, you’ll get to marvel at Glacier Hubbard from the ship, before reaching the the Icy Strait Point in Southeastern Alaska, and then continuing to Juneau, the capital of Alaska. The next destination is Skagway, the northern terminus of the Alaska Marine Highway System. Then, you’ll head to Ketchikan, the southernmost and fourth-largest city in Alaska. The cruise then ends 2 days later in Vancouver.

The Ship
The Norwegian Jewel was built in 2005 and last renovated in 2022. It has a length of 294 meters and a width of 38 meters. This mid-sized ship can accommodate up to 2,376 passengers and 1,069 crew members. The maximum speed is 23 knots.
The Norwegian Jewel offers 14 different dining options, including two main à la carte restaurants, a buffet restaurant, and various bars and grill restaurants. Additionally, there is a wide selection of speciality restaurants available for an extra charge (Cagney’s Steakhouse, pizza and pasta at La Cucina, French specialities at Le Bistro, or sushi and teppanyaki). Furthermore, the ship features 14 bars, lounges, and nightclubs, ensuring entertainment in the evening and at night. Norwegian Cruise Line is also known for its elaborate shows in the theatre.
