Star Alliance member LOT is currently selling its tickets to Riyadh for roughly €200 cheaper than usual if you depart from Copenhagen. Prices start at merely €227 (~DKK 1,695). The Economy Saver fare only includes luggage if you have a Star Alliance Gold or Miles&More Frequent Traveller status. Otherwise, you’ll have to pay €40 in each direction to check in 23 kg of luggage. The availability of these prices is very good in September and October.
Our calendar displays all available dates for trips of 3 – 31 days. Once you’ve selected your preferred dates, it will redirect you to LOT’s booking site:

LOT either uses a Boeing 737 or an Embraer plane for its 1-hour flight from Copenhagen to Warsaw. After a relatively short layover, you’ll then board a Boeing 737 MAX and fly 5 hours to Riyadh.
Most Europeans will need a Visa to enter Saudi Arabia, and it costs around €135. While a visa-on-arrival is possible, it is generally recommended to get a visa at least 3 days before departure online.

Information & Tips for Riyadh
Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, blends modernity with deep-rooted traditions. Key sights include the National Museum, the historic Masmak Fortress, and the towering Kingdom Centre, offering panoramic city views. The local currency is the Saudi riyal (SAR), and while some attractions are reasonably priced, the overall cost of travel—especially dining and accommodation—can be relatively high. The climate is arid, with extremely hot summers and mild winters, so visiting between November and March is generally more comfortable.

From the sacred cities of Mecca and Medina to the futuristic vision of NEOM, the country presents a fascinating destination for those interested in culture, history, and adventure.
Cultural Heritage
Saudi Arabia is the spiritual heart of Islam, home to the religion’s two holiest cities, Mecca and Medina. Each year, millions of Muslims from around the world visit these cities for Hajj and Umrah pilgrimages.
