Lufthansa Premium Economy to Delhi & Mumbai for €855 from Oslo (Airbus A380)

Lufthansa A380

Star Alliance member Lufthansa is currently selling premium economy tickets to Delhi and Mumbai starting at NOK 10,082 (~€859). Not only do these tickets include 2x 23 kg of luggage, but you also get the chance to fly on the Airbus A380 (to Delhi) – the world’s largest commercial plane.

Our calendar displays available dates in green and can redirect you to Lufthansa’s booking site:

Usually, you’ll be routed via Munich. From there, an A380 would get you to Delhi, or an A350 will fly you to Mumbai. If you decide to fly via Frankfurt, both destinations will have an A340 in operation. All long-haul flights will have you sitting in a comfortable premium economy seat. On the flights between Oslo and Germany, however, you’ll be seated in economy class.

Lufthansa offers a very good seat that’s available on long-haul flights from and to Frankfurt and Munich. The rest of the experience, however, is nothing special. At the airport you enjoy 0 (zero!) benefits as a premium economy passenger, and the food onboard is not exactly great either. At least you get to bring 2 x 23 kg of luggage.

Visa Info

European citizens require a tourist visa if they want to visit India. You can apply for it online at the official website. If you plan on continuing your journey on a separate ticket, you still need to apply for a tourist or transit visa.

By the way, while this deal is good for people living in Northern Europe, we also have a similar offer for people living in Europe’s south:

The fare rules merely mention a minimum stay requirement of 10 days, and that you need to book at least 28 days before departure.

Our calendar above displays available dates. If you’re looking to spend a very long time in India, or want to filter for A380 availability (destination: Delhi, layover airport: Munich), Google Flights is the best tool to use. Once you have your dates set, you should book on Lufthansa’s website.

Information & Tips for India

India is a large and diverse country with major tourist sights like the Taj Mahal in Agra, the forts and palaces of Rajasthan, the backwaters of Kerala, and spiritual cities like Varanasi and Rishikesh. The currency used is the Indian Rupee (INR). Prices vary widely—budget travel is possible, but mid-range and luxury options are also common, especially in tourist-heavy areas. Weather depends heavily on region and season: winters (Nov–Feb) are generally pleasant, while summers (Mar–June) can be extremely hot, and the monsoon (June–Sept) brings heavy rainfall in many parts.

India’s transport infrastructure is a mix of modern and outdated systems. Within cities, getting around can be chaotic but manageable—options include auto-rickshaws, taxis, metro systems in larger cities like Delhi and Mumbai, and app-based services like Uber and Ola. Between cities, India has an extensive railway network that’s affordable but often crowded and prone to delays; domestic flights are common and relatively inexpensive for longer distances. Roads connect most places, but traffic and conditions can be unpredictable.
