Oneworld member Qatar Airways loyalty program Privilege Club is currently keen on acquiring new data members. Because of that, you can currently earn bonus Avios for your first Qatar Airways flight after signing up for the program. In order to earn the bonus, you need to sign up under the following link before December 31, 2024 and travel in the first half of 2025:
To earn the bonus Avios, you need to do the following:
- Sing up for the program under this link before December 31, 2024.
- Fly with Qatar Airways between January 1 and June 30, 2025, and credit the flight to your Privilege Club account.
- Earn 2,000 bonus Avios for an economy class ticket.
- Earn 4,000 bonus Avios for a business class ticket.
You will receive the bonus on top of your regular earnings. Existing members cannot participate in this promotion.
The 2,000 (or 4,000) Avios won’t be nearly enough for a long-haul award flight. One-way flights in economy class flight between Doha and Muscat start at 7,000 Avios + taxes & fees. If you also own a British Airways Executive Club account, you can transfer Avios with a 1:1 ratio. One-way tickets within Europe start at roughly 4,500 Avios.
Bottom Line
The 4,000 Avios are surely not an incentive to register for the program and book a business class ticket. But if you have booked a Qatar Airways flight in the first half of 2025 already and don’t know where to credit them, it won’t hurt to collect the bonus.
