Star Alliance carriers such as Lufthansa, United, and Air Canada are running a sale. And this means you can purchase tickets for round-trips from Barcelona to Miami at prices starting as low as €170! But you have to act fast. This deal will most likely be gone by September 6th.
The availability for this deal is good starting from November all through to July 2020. Unfortunately, there are blackout dates over Xmas. You can also find the occasional flight in September and October if you’re looking for something near-term.
This deal is a Light fare. Consequently, only one piece of carry-on will be included. Sadly, adding checked bags via the carrier’s website will often increase the price drastically.
Several routings are possible for this deal. Most of them include a layover at one of Lufthansa’s hubs in Munich or Frankfurt. But you could also fly via Toronto, which is the case for some of the super cheap connections.
Search & Book
Tickets will only be sold until September 6th! And since the price is so low, we are not sure that the offer will actually last that long. So we’d recommend booking as soon as possible. Officially the offer is valid for travel commencing on or before December 24th, 2020. But as already mentioned, you will find most of the cheap flights until July 2020.
Minimum stay requirements are 6 days, and the fare rules allow for you to spend up to 3 months in the USA. Remember that you might need an ESTA or even an eTA if your trip brings you to Canada.
Use Google Flights (instructions) to find the cheapest connections. Then use our Travel Dealz flight search to book your flight. Purchasing a ticket from the carrier will increase the price a lot this time.
All tickets will be issued in booking class K. Therefore you might get a few miles, depending on the carrier you’ve chosen. But in many cases, this fare class could be exempted from earning miles.
Information & Tips for USA
The United States offers a wide range of tourist sights, from national parks like Yellowstone and the Grand Canyon to cities such as New York, Los Angeles, and Washington, D.C. The currency is the U.S. dollar (USD), and card payments are widely accepted. Prices vary by region but can be high in major cities, especially for accommodation and dining. Weather differs greatly across the country—winters can be harsh in the north, while the south often stays mild; summers are generally hot and humid in many areas.
The U.S. transport infrastructure is highly car-dependent, especially outside major cities. Urban centres like New York, Chicago, and San Francisco have functional public transit, but many other cities have limited options. Between cities, domestic flights are common for long distances, while intercity buses and Amtrak trains cover some routes, though often with slower speeds and less frequency compared to other countries. Without a car, getting around can be inconvenient in many parts of the country.

The price level can be high, especially in tourist areas, with upscale dining and accommodations being costly, but there are budget options available. The weather is tropical, with hot and humid summers, mild winters, and a chance of rain throughout the year, making the winter months (December to April) the most comfortable for visitors.
