Today, we present you with a rare solo deal. Norwegian Cruise Line is currently selling its transatlantic cruise from Barcelona to Tampa for only €570 per person in an interior cabin – regardless of whether you’re travelling as a couple or alone, as there is no solo surcharge. While gratuities are not included and bump the price up by another €200-300, depending on how generous you’re feeling during the 2-week cruise, the base price of only €41 per night is extremely low for an interior cabin, particularly if you are travelling solo. Also, flying back from Florida to Europe is very affordable, with prices starting at €293, including luggage.

The Route

This transatlantic cruise combines rich culture, volcanic landscapes, and tropical flair. Departing from Barcelona, the journey begins with a long stop in Cádiz, where Andalusian history and Moorish influences shape the city’s charm. A full week of ocean crossings provides time to unwind before reaching Nassau in the Bahamas, where white-sand beaches and vibrant island life await. The voyage concludes in Tampa, Florida, offering a mix of modern attractions and access to Florida’s Gulf Coast.

The Ship

The Norwegian Dawn, launched in 2002 and refurbished several times since, is a mid-sized ship in Norwegian Cruise Line’s fleet, carrying around 2,300 passengers. Compared to the line’s newer mega-ships, it feels more manageable in scale, with a layout that’s straightforward to navigate and a style that mixes early-2000s design with updated touches from later refits.

One of the ship’s defining features is its “Freestyle Cruising” approach, with a wide variety of dining venues rather than fixed meal times. The Dawn has more than ten restaurants, ranging from main dining rooms and buffets to speciality options like a steakhouse, teppanyaki, and Italian. Bars and lounges vary from casual poolside spots to quieter spaces for cocktails or live music.

Entertainment includes a theatre for production shows, a casino, and lounges with live performances. Outdoors, there are pools, hot tubs, a sports court, and deck space for sunbathing. A spa and fitness centre adds wellness options, while the kids’ and teens’ clubs provide dedicated areas for younger travellers.

Cabins come in a broad range, from compact inside staterooms to suites with private balconies and access to the exclusive Haven area. Overall, the Norwegian Dawn offers a balance between variety and scale: it has many of the amenities of larger ships, but without feeling overwhelming, making it a good fit for travellers who want choice and flexibility on board.

Flights

The flight back from Florida to Europe is not included, but there are cheap options available currently. The cheapest is Norse Atlantic’s flight from Orlando to London, which only costs €293, including luggage.
