KLM, Air France & Delta: €1,278 Business Class Open-Jaw Flights Sweden → USA → Norway

Air France Business Class Airbus A350

Until the beginning of this year, Oneworld regularly offered reasonably priced business class open-jaw flights from Europe to North America. Unfortunately, these have become more expensive – but now there’s a good deal from the SkyTeam partners. With KLM, Air France, and Delta Air Lines, you can fly to Washington D.C., New York, or Miami starting at €1,278.

Your departure will be from Sweden, and after your stay in the USA, you will land in Norway. Alternatively, this also works in the reverse direction, but for an extra charge of about €60.

The following routes are particularly cheap:

Double open-jaw flights are also possible:

When searching via Skyscanner, the cheapest flights are not always displayed first. You may need to scroll a bit or click on Cheapest. However, be careful not to accidentally select a connection with Icelandair.

We found availability from December 2025 to June 2026. Feel free to use the following form to book via Skyscanner:

The flights usually include one layover in Amsterdam, Paris, or New York. Only the Stockholm – New York route can be flown non-stop with Delta (on a Boeing 767).

You’ll find the most modern on-board product on the following routes:

  • Paris – Boston (Delta One Suite A350 or Air France Suite A350)
  • Paris – New York (Air France Suite A350 / B777)
  • Amsterdam – New York (Delta One Suite A330)
  • Paris – Miami (Air France Suite A350 / B777)

Not all flights during the entire travel period are operated with these seats. It’s best to search via Google Flights and look for the individual suite note.

Visa Info

Most Europeans need an electronic system for travel authorization (ESTA) to enter the USA for up to 90 days. This costs US$21 (~€19) and you should apply for it a couple of days before your trip, at the latest.

There are some cases where you cannot apply for an ESTA, e.g. if you’ve been to Cuba since 2021 or to Iran, Iraq, Syria, Sudan, or North Korea since March 2011. In those cases, you’ll need to get a visa from a US embassy or consulate, which can take multiple weeks.

Search & Book

It’s unknown how long these prices will last. We found availability for trips from December 2025 to June 2026.

The minimum stay is 6 days or a Saturday night stay. According to the fare rules, you can stay at the destination for a maximum of 3 months.

You can find cheap dates best using Google Flights. However, the price calendar doesn’t work for multi-stop bookings, so you might have to click through a few dates. The flights can then be booked directly with Delta. Unfortunately, it often happens that the Delta website redirects to the homepage instead of the desired connection. In that case, you can try Skyscanner.

Information & Tips for USA

The United States offers a wide range of tourist sights, from national parks like Yellowstone and the Grand Canyon to cities such as New York, Los Angeles, and Washington, D.C. The currency is the U.S. dollar (USD), and card payments are widely accepted. Prices vary by region but can be high in major cities, especially for accommodation and dining. Weather differs greatly across the country—winters can be harsh in the north, while the south often stays mild; summers are generally hot and humid in many areas.

The U.S. transport infrastructure is highly car-dependent, especially outside major cities. Urban centres like New York, Chicago, and San Francisco have functional public transit, but many other cities have limited options. Between cities, domestic flights are common for long distances, while intercity buses and Amtrak trains cover some routes, though often with slower speeds and less frequency compared to other countries. Without a car, getting around can be inconvenient in many parts of the country.
