Marriott Bonvoy: Status Match to Gold And Up to 120 Status Points for Miles&More Members

Marriott Tuxtla Gutierrez

Lufthansa’s Miles&More program and Marriott’s loyalty program Marriott Bonvoy have announced an extended partnership, that’s especially attractive for Miles&More members. By linking their accounts, HON Circle members and Senators can get their status matched to Marriott Bonvoy Gold. In addition, all members can earn 120 Miles&More (status) points for their first three stays of at least two nights at Marriott hotels after linking their accounts.

Marriott Bonvoy Miles and More Connection

Sadly, this status match is a one-way street. Marriott Bonvoy status holders get no benefits at Miles&More from linking their accounts. Existing matches from Air Canada Aeroplan, Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer and United MileagePlus are more generous in that regard.

Both the status match and the bonus points promotion are initiated by linking your accounts. In order to do that, you need to click on the show deal button or right here. You can select your current Marriott Bonvoy and Miles&More status.

Marriott Bonvoy Miles and More Connection Match

During the next steps, you will be successively asked to log in to your Marriott Bonvoy account first, and your Miles&More account after that.

Marriott Bonvoy Miles and More Connection II

After logging in to both accounts, both programs will ask permission to use the data you’ve granted to the other. Once you have agreed, your accounts are linked.

Marriott Bonvoy Miles and More Connection IV

Your Marriott Bonvoy status is upgraded immediately, and you are also enrolled for the promotion to earn status points.

How to Earn up to 120 Miles&More Status Points

After linking your accounts, you can earn 40 points for a stay of at least two nights at a Marriott Hotels. These points come on top of your regular earnings. You can do this up to three times in a calendar year.

Only stays booked directly on Marriott’s website are eligible to earn Miles&More points. You can use our Go2 tool to book qualifying stays:

Benefits of Marriott Bonvoy Gold Status

As mentioned earlier, Miles&More Senators and HON Circle members are automatically granted a status match by matching their accounts. Their accounts will be upgraded to Marriott Bonvoy Gold status, which perks are nice, but not exactly mind-blowing.

  • 25% more points per stay (= 6.25 or 12.50 points per dollar spent)
  • Late Check-out until 14:00 (based on availability)
  • Room upgrades (based on availability)
  • Faster internet

HON Circle members and Senators will keep their matched Marriott Bonvoy status for at least 12 months, or as long as they maintain their Miles&More tier.
