The Hotel

Aksari Luxury Resort & Spa Ubud by Ini Vie Hospitality is a tranquil retreat designed with a focus on privacy and relaxation. The resort features a mix of villas and suites, many with private pools or jacuzzis, surrounded by lush greenery. Its interiors blend modern comfort with traditional Balinese details, creating a warm, intimate atmosphere. Facilities include a spa, infinity pool, yoga space, and a restaurant offering locally inspired cuisine, making it well-suited for couples or travellers seeking a quiet, restorative stay.

The hotel has received very good reviews from previous guests (e.g. 4.8/5 on Google with over 2,000 reviews), many praising the serene ambience, the great views of the extremely nice pool and the forest, the helpful staff, the amazing and heavenly spa treatments, the beautiful property, and the great dinner entertainment. The hotel seems to be particularly popular among couples. We couldn’t find any recurring points of criticism.

Aksari Luxury Resort & Spa Ubud is located in a rural area north of Ubud, surrounded by jungle and rice terraces. The setting is peaceful and somewhat secluded, offering a sense of escape from the busier parts of town. Reaching central Ubud takes about 20 minutes by car, so the resort is better suited to guests looking for a quiet stay rather than easy access to shops and attractions.

Price Check

While LuxuryEscapes charges a fixed price of €169 per night, the hotel itself charges far higher prices. In December, for instance, the very cheapest rate, including only breakfast, already costs €232 per night. In other words, you’re saving roughly 30% by booking through LuxuryEscapes. The savings are relatively similar throughout the year.

Information & Tips for Bali

Bali is known for its stunning beaches, vibrant rice terraces in Ubud, and cultural landmarks like Uluwatu Temple and Tanah Lot. The local currency is the Indonesian rupiah (IDR), and while credit cards are accepted in many places, cash is still commonly used, especially in smaller towns and markets. The cost of living is generally low, with affordable food, accommodation, and activities, though luxury options are also available. Bali has a tropical climate with a wet season from November to April and a dry season from May to October, making the latter ideal for outdoor activities.

Bali’s transport infrastructure is fairly basic, and getting around can be challenging, especially during peak hours. Within cities like Denpasar or tourist areas like Kuta and Ubud, traffic congestion is common, and public transportation is limited. Most locals and visitors rely on scooters or ride-hailing apps, which are convenient but can be overwhelming for first-time visitors. Traveling between towns is possible by car or shuttle buses, but the roads are often narrow and winding, making journeys slower than expected.
