Aegean 25th Anniversary Sale: Up to 60% Discount on Economy Class Flights (excl. Taxes & Fees)

The Greek Star Alliance member Aegean Airlines is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year. As part of the celebration, the airline is currently advertising discounts of up to 60% on the base airfare, depending on the travel period. The discounts apply only to economy tickets. The actual discount is significantly lower as taxes, fees, and fuel surcharges are not reduced.

The offer is valid until May 30, 2024, at 22:59 German time. The primary focus is on trips from November 2024 to March 2025, with varying discounts depending on the dates:

• 25% discount from July 1 to October 31, 2024
• 50% discount from November 1 to December 13, 2024
• 25% discount from December 14, 2024 to Jan. 8, 2025
• 60% discount from January 9 to February 26, 2025
• 25% discount from February 27 to March 4, 2025
• 50% discount from March 5 to March 29, 2025

Here are some examples of the discounted economy round-trip prices during the 60% discount period from January to February:

• Rome – Athens at €75
• London – Athens at €93 (~£79)
• Dusseldorf – Thessaloniki at €95
• Warsaw – Thessaloniki at €119
• Madrid – Santorini at €127
• Prague – Crete at €128
• Paris – Cairo at €193
• Brussels – Riyadh at €288

Especially worthwhile due to the discount promotion is upgrading to the ComfortFlex fare. This includes 8 kg of carry-on baggage, a personal item, seat selection, and potentially allows for free same-day changes (for direct flights). Additionally, it offers a higher mileage credit with Miles+Bonus. Through the discount promotion, this upgrade is available starting from €19 per direction.

The airline uses a fleet of Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft to serve its network. A fleet of ATR 72 aircraft operated by subsidiary Olympic Airways provides flights to smaller airports.
