Aer Lingus Business Class to Washington for €1,218 from Budapest (Budapest-Dublin in Economy)

With the Irish flagship carrier Aer Lingus, you can book relatively affordable business tickets from Budapest to the U.S. capital, Washington D.C. The price of HUF 479,254 (~€1,219). The long-haul flight is operated with the Airbus A321LR, which offers lie-flat seats in a 1-1 or 2-2 configuration.

Unfortunately, there are two catches with this deal that we don’t want to overlook: You’ll be in economy class on the feeder flight. Aer Lingus does not offer a premium cabin on flights from Budapest to Dublin, not even their premium economy, “AerSpace”. The second issue is that some dates require at least an overnight stay in Dublin.

For booking, you can use the form below for your convenience. We have highlighted all the available dates for trips with up to 28 days. With one click, you can be redirected to Aer Lingus’ booking site.

EI WAS BUD C

The feeder flight from Budapest to Dublin is operated with Airbus jets from the A320 family. Unfortunately, there is only one cabin class: Economy. All meals are chargeable in this class, and it seems there is no partner lounge at Budapest airport.

Usually, you can fly on to Washington, DC after a short layover of around 1 hour. However, if your flight requires an overnight stop in Dublin, hotels near the airport are available for around €80 to €100 per night, depending on the specific dates. The next morning, you’d go through U.S. pre-clearance, meaning U.S. immigration will be done in Dublin and not in Washington, D.C. The long-haul flight is operated with the Airbus A321LR.

The fare rules do not specify how long these cheap tickets will be available. Departures are scattered between April and December, with blackout dates during school vacations.

You can find cheap flights using our calendar above or with Google Flights (instructions). Booking directly on Aer Lingus’ website is possible for HUF 479,254 (~€1,219).

Mileage

The booking class is Y on the economy feeder flight and I on the long haul. Since Aer Lingus is not a member of any airline alliance, mileage credit is only possible with a few programs. However, the mileage credit is quite decent, especially with Alaska Mileage Plan:

  • 17,656 Award Miles + 10,866 Elite Qualifying Miles on Alaska Mileage Plan
  • 12,564 Avios on British Airways Executive Club
  • 9,168 Award Miles on United MileagePlus
