Welcome to the opposite end of the weekend, with deals that did not make it‘s cheerful sister: Every Sunday, we look back on the highlights of the past seven days. American Airlines First Class to Argentina
With departure from Oslo, American Airlines offers First Class tickets to Argentina for as little as US$5,079 (~€4,406). These tickets include two business class trips from Norway to London and four first class segments from London to Buenos Aires, with stops in either Miami or New York.
Why it’s awesome: Normally, we are happy to find first class tickets for roughly €3,000 from Europe to the USA that feature only 2 legs – i.e. €1,500 per first class flight. While this offer from American Airlines is significantly more expensive, it also lowers the price per first-class flight to €1,100. It gets even better when breaking it down to the actual flight time, which is roughly 14 hours for a regular transatlantic round trip and more than 34 hours with this offer.
LOT Business Sale to North America
LOT is offering a great sale to its North American destinations. You can fly from Norway for less than €1,200 to New York and even Los Angeles. For ~€100 more, there’s also availability to Chicago, Miami, and Toronto. However, you need to spend at least 24 hours in Warsaw in each direction. That makes the booking process a bit complicated, but the price is worth it.
Why it’s awesome: While LOT’s business class is not exactly the best, getting to fly lie-flat (with all the “usual” business perks like lounge access) to the US East Coast – and even the West Coast – is usually much more expensive. And Warsaw is a cheap and beautiful city to spend 24 hours.
30% Discount on Flexible Rates at IHG
IHG is home to many popular hotel brands like Holiday Inn, Crowne Plaza and InterContinental. The chain is currently running a sale that gives a 30% discount on flexible rates, which remain flexible after the discount. You can only score the discount via the promotional page, as the lower prices won’t show up while searching the usual way.
Why it’s awesome: When hotels give a discount on flexible rates, they usually mean that you will save money, but the rate also becomes prepaid and non-refundable in return. This promotion remains transparent and gives you the peace of mind that comes with booking a flex-rate, while actually giving a decent discount. A great reason to check it out.
